This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal!!! Their food is fresh and sizzling hot, flavorful and they give you a lot. You’ll usually need a plate to go for your leftovers. Everyone is friendly and they continually check on you to make sure everything is okay. This is my upmost favorite place to eat in Greenwood, SC. The prices are very reasonable, except on the mixed drinks. I feel like $13 for one drink is a bit too much. However, they do have drink specials on certain nights and lots of options to choose from at different prices. I shared a few of my favorite dishes and a tasty, beautiful mixed drink. I’m working on trying everything on the menu. Don’t let me forget how nice it is on the inside. The decorations are amazing as well. They have lots of beautiful art all around. Go give them a try and you’ll never regret it. I’d eat here everyday if I could.

Great chips and salsa (2 options). Chicken fajitas some of the best I ever had. Came hot and sizzling, purposefully asked they be cooked well, as I like the charred veggies. The beans, rice, plate size perfect. The sour cream was lacking as it looks smeared on top of tomato’s, and was not enough. Definitely going back when in Gwood, top notch Mexican.

The look from the outside doesn’t do the inside justice. There is a lot of amazing art hanging all over the restaurant. It’s roomy and well decorated. The food was very well cooked and all the meat had a nice sear to it. The spicy salsa had a wonderful little kick. The drinks and drink menu were also awesome. I got a drink that literally came out in a toy bathtub! You could press a button and the drink came out of a little shower head! Server was also very attentive. I was looking for a new mexican spot to eat since the changes at Ernesto’s and I need to look no further. Can’t wait to go back.

But what truly made the night exceptional wasn’t just the incredible food — it was our waitress, Valentina. She was not only professional-she was attentive without hovering, friendly without being overbearing, and truly knowledgeable about the menu. Her suggestions were incredible and delicious. It’s rare to find someone who can make you feel both completely taken care of and at home at the same time.

Food was okay. Drink was good, but bar selection and skill was limited. Our wait service was really great. Valentina, our server, was personable and very attentive. She was genuinely kind and caring and took care of our table. The other staff members were also nice and welcoming. It was a good experience.

Food is always great, I’ve made it a point to get something different every time I go, and the margarita is both sizable and of sound quality. For lunch definitely don’t miss the tequila burritos or cazuelon. The server, Valentina, was quick and friendly without being intrusive. Atmospherically, it feels like late evening no matter what time of day it is in the booths, which is nice when you’re there, but it can be a little disorienting to leave after a big lunch with a drink!

They need to watch service and food. So many other Mexican restaurants around now. This used to be my favorite. Last time I came in with granddaughter, no one to seat us. Found lady at the bar but she walked away when we made eye contact. No one else for 10 minutes, we walked out. Came back few weeks later with friend, ordered steak fajitas for 2/29.50.All veggies hardly any steak and now they only give you 2 flour tortillas instead of 3. How much money does that save???. They brought 1 large plate, no silverware and we had to ask for plates to serve our food on. Got silverware but plates never showed up. I ate using the table for droppings!

El Centanario’s food and service are always really good. Today my wife wanted something that wasn’t on the menu. Valentina really came through for us. She made suggestions for different items on the menu that she could put together to get what she wanted. When the dish came out it was exactly how she pictured it, and it was delicious. Big thanks to Valentina for going the extra mile to help a customer.

Valentina was our server, this is our second time visiting El Centenario and we will continue supporting this business. We ordered completely different dishes this visit and still haven’t had a bad meal. Our 26 year old son actually came with us this time and he loved it, said it was delicious. I think this is my favorite Mexican restaurant in greenwood. Love the atmosphere and the service is great. Food is always delicious here and usually pretty fast. Very good hot salsa! I love it!
