Great sushi in a beautiful new restaurant with friendly staff. I came in alone and had the dinner set. Everything in the set was great, and the set was priced reasonably given the quantity (9 pieces of nigiri + 6 piece negihama hand roll) And variety of sushi present. Additionally, the restaurant is currently BYOB and I am not sure if they plan to start serving alcohol in the future. Ginza is a great spot to stop by

Ginza is in a new location between Whole Foods, Gentlemen’s Warehouse and L&L. The new location is larger than the Ward Center spot and parking is easier in the back since D&B moved to Ala Moana. The food is still as fresh as can be and tastes great. I ordered the Nigiri Deluxe Set which combines 9 different pieces of nigiri with 9 pieces (3 grouped sets) of sashimi. This was perfect for a huge appetite like mine and it comes with miso soup and pickled appetizers. There are other sets available for nigiri sushi, sashimi or chirashi also. That final star will come when the liquor license is approved or transferred and alcohol is added to the menu. Call to see if BYOB is available.

One of my favorite sushi spots in town! Their new location in Ward is nice inside and they are now BYOB (major plus!). They have a pretty big menu which is nice. We ordered a combo plate and some speciality sushi rolls. Everything tasted delicious and so fresh! Our server was also very nice and attentive to our table. I do wish they had better outdoor seating options though.

Ohmygosh so GOOD! My husband and I loved this place! Our amazing server Harry recommended the Moana roll and I 10/10 also recommend. We tried the steamed gyoza, the spicy ahi avocado roll, the Moana, and the Beauty and the Beast. Loved it all! It was all so fresh and delicious. Ask for Harry if he’s working, he was so friendly and helpful!

We’ve been coming to Ginza Sushi for the past 10 years, and it’s safe to say, this place never misses.
Russell, the owner, is not only a master at his craft but also one of the kindest and most attentive restaurant owners we’ve ever met. His dedication to quality and hospitality is a huge part of what keeps us coming back.
The Avenger Roll is my go to. This is Russell’s masterpiece. The roll is perfection with every bite–the fresh tuna, crispy fried onions, and just the right amount of spicy mayo create a flavor profile that’s absolutely addicting. The way the textures blend together is something you can only get from someone who knows sushi like Russell does.
Philadelphia Roll substitute the salmon with ahi and this is our friends go to. The cream cheese, fresh tuna, and avocado are perfectly balanced, making each bite creamy and rich without being overwhelming. This is comfort food at its finest, done with finesse.
Miso Soup and edamame and seaweed salad are the regular apps we get. Every meal here is absolutely fire. Beyond the amazing food, what really makes Ginza stand out is the service. Every time we visit, we’re treated like family. Russell and his team go above and beyond to make sure every experience is top-tier, and it’s that level of care and attention that has made us loyal customers for a decade.

I had the chirashi sushi bowl, scallop roll, fried squid, and karaage. Everything was fresh and delicious. The chirashi didn’t have vinegared rice, which was a bit disappointing, but overall it was still a great meal. I’d definitely come back again!

The service and attention to detail given is the best thing about Ginza Sushi. We Always feel taken care of and have no worries with their service. It was a nice cozy spot in the corner of the restaurant with pleasant music as ambiance.
We ordered rolls and they came out pretty quick to when they were ordered. The flavor for each roll was good enough to get us to come back again. They may not be cheap but the value was good enough.

This place is seriously incredible, I would venture to say this is the best sushi we have ever had, let alone on the island. We are here visiting my MIL and we have certainly found our #1 sushi spot. The atmosphere was perfect, truly a little hole in the wall.
We ordered the Salmon Lover, Ahi Combi and the Sushi/Sashimi Deluxe. We also were recommended to order the Blue Fin Tuna, which we did, and it was phenomenal! This was a bit of a splurge & well worth it. We also tried the lychee & white peach cold sake, which were both delicious and refreshing.
Russell is such a gem of a person, you can truly tell he loves what he does. He was very accommodating, made wonderful recommendations and explained the history & challenge fishermen go through to catch a Blue Fin tuna while we enjoyed every bite!
The quality of the fish was nothing short of outstanding. My husband and I have enjoyed dining at Nobu a handful of times (NY and Las Vegas) and Ginza Sushi is an equal (if not better) competitor to those dining experiences for us.
We left with full bellies, happy hearts & we will be back!! Thank you Russell & Ginza Sushi crew for giving us the best welcome back to Oahu. Mahalo!!
