Not at all austentatious, but a welcoming restaurant without frills. Personally, a combination I prefer, as it is very relaxing. Food was so tasty and we had the opportunity to assure the chef that we totally enjoyed his endeavours. We had been pre-advised that they don’t serve alcohol and took our iwn, which is allowed. If you don’t remember and fancy an alcoholic drink, conveniently there is a local supermarket opposite!
Thank you Kadir’s for a lovely evening.

Firstly, there are many great Indian restaurants in Southsea, particularly on Albert Road! Secondly, to specifically focus on Kadir’s this is probably the most authentic Indian food I have ever had and continue to have. Whilst I try to utilise all the restaurants at different times, this is the go to for me if I have friends round or we want to have a really nice takeaway or eat in. The flavours are excellent they just hit the spot every time and the best for me as I don’t get stomach issues the next day if you know what I mean. I am very sensitive, so this speaks volumes of how good the ingredients must be and the cooking process, also to add there are so many great options, especially for us being vegetarian, they are fantastic. We have meat eater in the household also who says their meat is cooked fantastically well. Highly recommend and always good to go back again to try some other options too!

I work near Kadir’s and never tried the food before tonight. Wow! Some of the best Indian food I have ever tasted outside of India. Great menu, with food delivered in just over half an hour. OK, I’m only 2 doors away 🙂 It was so delicious. No generic curry sauce here; every individual flavour stood out. Highly recommended. Kadir’s just gained a new customer.

Amazing experience! Amazing food! The best staff! -the chef even came to check how our food was which we thought was a lovely touch. We will definitely be back. Such a lovely chilled atmosphere and we weren’t rushed at all. Honestly such a great experience.

Only ever had take-away from Kadir’s. Food is always fantastic – being from Birmingham I’m very particular about Indian food and Kadir’s cuisine always hits the spot. Service is excellent and if there are any issues they’re always quick to put things right. A superb restaurant

This place was recommended by a friend, so the two of us took my mum along, early one Friday evening. It was quiet when we got there, so the chef/owner said hello and then made a couple of recommendations for my mum, who’s got quite a low chili tolerance. She had a Peshwari chicken (see pic) and a Peshwari naan, and was well pleased. My friend and I went for a couple of hotter dishes (chili garlic chicken and the day’s special, as recommended by the chef, lamb and cabbage) and a couple of sides (mushroom bhuna and a saag bhaji).
Long story short, the food was lovely, the service was excellent, and we’ll definitely be back

We enjoyed Kadir’s so much that we had their food twice during the weekend – once on the restaurant and once as a delivery. The restaurant was perfect: busy but not feeling “crowded” with friendly staff who were happy to chat to you and obviously proud of the food they served. We loved the condiments served with the poppadoms, especially the tamarind(I think) red sauce . The Goan chicken was spiced just right as was the aloo bhuna – which were fluffy potatoes that weren’t “drowned” in a sauce. The delivery was accurate in timing and the food nicely warm as it arrived. Generous portions. I look forward to returning so that I can try more on their menu.
