As someone who has been coming to Taco Ocho for years, I can honestly say that Stacy is the best. From the moment you walk in, she makes you feel welcome, at home, and genuinely cared for. Even on this rainy Valentine’s Day, she greeted us with the biggest smiles and the cutest decoration – something she absolutely didn’t have to do, but chose to do simply to make the day special for everyone who stops in. Belinda is the sweetest, as well!

The food is always incredible, and the cooks are just as warm and lovely to interact with. I would’ve posted a picture of my breakfast, but it didn’t last long enough before it disappeared – it was that good!

Overall, the people here are amazing. Stacy, in particular, has elevated the entire experience in such a short time and truly stands out from anyone before her. I sincerely hope she’s taken care of the same way she takes care of everyone who walks through those doors. Taco Ocho is lucky to have her.

Mediocre is the first word that comes to mind here. The salsa came in small plastic containers and had no flavor. It was almost like water. I got the fajita nachos and the beef was just small chopped bits of beef and has little flavor. The queso and other ingredients were okay, but overall I’ve had much better. My daughter got the tacos and she said hers were okay, but not great as well. Our waiter was very nice and the restaurant seems very clean. I probably won’t try this place again since I like other local Mexican restaurants much better. Maybe I would come if in a group that really wanted to come. That would probably be the only thing that would bring me back.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff, with several classic and unique menu options. I appreciate the items not containing gluten being marked on the menu, however, I am not confident the author of the menu truly knows what gluten is because the beef colorado taco is marked as gluten free, despite the beef description being braised with beer (which is almost always made with barley, and is not gluten free). Perhaps they had wheat free in mind, but that is a serious distinction for those with celiac.
The tacos themselves were ok, I asked for no cilantro or corn, but the tacos still came out with them anyway. I tried the chicken fajita, coco connection, and smoked chicken elote. They were pretty lacking in flavor and definitely could’ve used more seasoning. The coco connection was interesting, but the smoked chicken was just unappetizing. The chicken fajita didn’t have the typical fresh grilled flavor you would expect.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience but I would recommend other local shops for tacos.

Underwhelming. We were the only people in the restaurant with 4 staff members texting and talking on there phones. Drink order was wrong. Food order was wrong. Food was basic at best and was generally lacking and just “blah.” I’m unsure how this place will continue if this is what people expect. Atmosphere was clean and inviting. With so many great places to try it’s gonna be a long time before I return to see if there are any improvements. Parking was okay. Prices were okay.

First, this is NOT a Mexican restaurant. It’s Latin Fusion. No TexMex here!
Amazing vegetarian choices. The food is fresh! It’s a casual place, nothing flashy. Happy hour $4 beers, $5 House Margaritas #tacoochomckinney

I ordered for pick up for my entire office. Placed the order over the phone and picked it up in under 30 mins. Order was correct, hot, and fresh. Service was great on the phone and in person. The 2 ladies working there were so nice. It’s awesome that they have vegetarian options on the menu, as several of our staff are vegetarians. With such a large order, it was great to have individual salsas too. Those little things are much appreciated!

I’ve been coming to Taco Ocho for years now, and it has truly become one of my favorite spots. Not only is the food consistently delicious, but the service is what keeps me coming back every single time.
Stacy and BELINDA are absolutely amazing! They always go above and beyond to make sure I feel welcomed and taken care of. Their friendly attitudes, attention to detail, and genuine kindness turn every visit into a great experience. Over the years, I’ve become a regular, and it’s largely because of the outstanding service they provide.
If you’re looking for exceptional customer service along with great food, I highly recommend asking for Stacy and BELINDA when you come in. They truly make all the difference!

What a great experance. Taco Ocho has an Authentic Atmosphere was a full bar to boot.
It also has and outdoors patio that I might try next time. Food was very excellent, and so was the service.

Delicious food! Love that they have vegan offerings that are tasty, unique, and fresh. A bit understaffed for a Friday night, but totally worth it for how amazing the food is. Will be returning as regulars!

I can’t tell you enough of how good and genuine this restaurant is. Starting with the atmosphere and the cleanliness of the restaurant – modern and inviting. The seating is decent and the tables are at a good height to torso ratio for us tall guys lol.

The service was genuine and fast. Not only was I sat down by the host, but also, he was very attentive and communicated well with others in order to get our drink orders as fast as possible to our table and asked if we were interested in anything else to start with.

Onto the good part – the food. I had the Chilaquiles and if you are a Chilaquiles lover like I am, you are going to love this place! My brother and I go around many Mexican restaurants and we always try to Chilaquiles and these are by far landing on our top five. The corn tortillas are crispy and thin enough to have presence in taste but not too much to take away from the tomatillo and the well seasoned eggs. The portion was large, but do have in mind that I added two extra eggs to my order making it a total of four.

Prior to tip for coffee, water, excellent service cleanliness of the restaurant, attentiveness of the servers and host and also a great meal with great taste all of this with a warm cup of coffee for $18 is more than justified it’s a steal!

I hope you enjoy the Chilaquiles as much as I did
