The place is super aesthetic but the coffee felt low-average. Maybe it was my selection (I had a Magic Latter).
It has plenty of tables and chairs to seat on, both inside and outside so it’s perfect if you want to do some work in there. Though I have to say that after a while, the seats can get a bit uncomfortable.

If you’re looking for a coffee shop that hits both “Instagram-aesthetic” and genuine craft-coffee vibes, Jurassic Magic nails it
The ambience is delightfully relaxed: shaded outdoor seating plus a tucked-away indoor/outdoor back patio that’s perfect if you want to settle in and scribble in your journal or get work done ✍
Vibe check: the staff are friendly, the space feels curated (plants, good light, minimal noise) and you’ll walk away thinking you found more than just a caffeine fix
In short, I love that Jurassic Magic cares about chill spaces, good beans, and no fluff. IMO you should check them out ☕

My favorite coffee place in LA. My favorite place in my neighborhood. And one of my favorite coffee places of all time. Not only do they deliver on the classics, they have some of the best and most interesting specialty drinks you’ll find anywhere on a rotating menu. The garden area in the back feels like it’s own secret getaway. Highly recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The Matcha was whisked live and not premade, which I enjoyed. They use a good amount of sweetener and there’s no need to ask for more as someone who likes on the sweeter side. It was a good balance. I was really surprised honestly I didn’t expect it to taste like something. I would make it home in a good way. I would return.

Nice find. Good coffee, with nice natural additions. Cozy sidewalk seating. Pastries look good unfortunately I didn’t indulge.

This is my favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood. Coffee is pretty good. I always get drip here and it’s consistently good. Im a bit of a snob for coffee who makes aeropress every morning, so trust me when I say the drip is pretty good. Also, everyone is so nice and personable. The owner Carlos is talented in design and the unique midcentury interior inside the coffee shop brings out the zen in me for some reason. Im a local in the neighborhood and Jurassic really brightens up the corner of Midcity, so I always appreciate their presence beyond just serving great coffee. They just launched the kitchen so I have yet to try their foods but Im always cheering as a customer for their growth :).

Our local coffee spot is the best in LA. The baristas are wonderful and friendly. We adore them. The drinks are creative and affordable. The decor is beautiful and unique. The pastries are great and the food next door at sister business Convi is beyond. Cannot say enough good things about this establishment. I hope it stays open forever!
Be advised that they do not enforce a leash policy for dogs. We bring our (leashed, small) dog often and have run into an off-leash pitbull here quite a few times. Not on the shop necessarily, and no real incidents yet, but worth knowing about for your dog’s safety.

Cute little cafe, wanted to try it because I’ currently on a mission to try all these new matcha latte/newly opened Korean/Asian styled cafes. Their vibe is ok, drinks are ok, but it’s just where they are located…wished they were at a less sketchy neighborhood, and would really recommend this place. Not worth driving all the way to this place where there aren’t many things to do around. Parked in the very crowded/small street parking.

An aesthetic cafe, but the drinks and service fell short. This quirky spot had its charm, with cozy nooks and crannies that made it a great place to relax, but the service was just average (and pretentious), much like the drinks. The chai latte I ordered wasn’t great, it was a bit too spiced for my liking, and the “Friends 4ever” tea was bland—definitely not worth the $5, which was disappointing. However, I really enjoyed the cafe’s atmosphere, especially the aesthetic back patio, which offered a lovely space to unwind.
