An unknown sleeper hit in Amelia Island. An interesting combination of mexican restaurant & convenience store offering Latin treats, candies, sodas & even a butcher shop. Great tacos & the best nachos on the island!

Wonderful restaurant and food store!
Everything we ordered was delicious and portioned generously. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a small mixup with our order which they went above and beyond to correct.
Highly recommended when in Fernandina.

The woman was so nice and sweet and she even suggested what I should get and it was fantastic. 5 stars all the way.

Food with good seasoning, the attention of the girls a little unpleasant, since they had little disposition, they did not offer chips, no sauces, only the dishes arrived. At the time of payment you have to get up to look for someone who can make you the payment, in general the waitresses very carefree of the customers, the food is what captivates

The tacos are delicious – especially the cabeza cow cheek taco. My boyfriend loved his asada burrito as well. I go here whenever I’m in town. Oh, and the green sauce is great! Don’t miss it.

The best around. My favorite restaurant of all time. The service is great. The people are friendly and you can taste the love they put into their food. I wish I lived closer so I could come here everyday. They offer weekday specials that are amazing.

Very good Mexican restaurant in Fernandina. We had chicken quesadilla (4 pcs 12.50), pollo asado (big serving, 14), tamarind juice (4.50). We’re seated and served promptly. No cafe espresso. Big place with adjoining grocery store. Serves local juices and fountain sodas.

Excellent food, the chorizo and Al Pastor tacos were delicious!
My wife is vegan and was impressed with available vegan options.
Very friendly and attentive staff. Nice bodega onsite to buy some hard to find peppers and other Mexican food for the DIY cooks.

I’ve been supporting this business since their first location and I remember the owner perfecting her veggie taco for her vegetarian customers. Even before she perfected it and she just made up a random taco in the back, it was always AMAZING!!! It’s VERY HARD to find a GOOD veggie taco. ESPECIALLY, in Nassau county. This menu was built with LOVE and you can taste it in every bite! I’m genuinely thankful for this restaurant! Double corn you don’t even have to ask !!!!!

For authentic Mexican cuisine, we have found our local favorite. On a previous visit, I had the taco salad, which was delicious. This time, I got tacos (theirs have soft corn tortillas, and they’re loaded with cilantro and chopped onion, served with salsa…and FYI the hot really is hot…but also yummy) were great. My husband got 2 carnitas gorditas (Friday’s special), and they were out-of-this-world amazing.
While their chips and salsa are $3 or something in that neighborhood, we felt like this was fair, given they were piping hot and crispy, and the salsa was very fresh…i.e. these were not sitting in a basket under a warmer. We experienced good service and thought the people who work here were very nice. For anyone who is wondering about atmosphere, it isn’t fancy, but…who cares? The food is so good, it doesn’t matter. The mural painted on the walls and the plants in the windows are quite lovely. And the restaurant is clean. We are planning to return to this place many times.
Update: we have now had the fried chicken, which is served on a bed of slaw and fried plantains, with a side of spicy pickled onions + veg. Yummy! My husband got his with the rice and beans instead, which he said was also delicious. On a previous visit, we had the enchiladas, which are still our favorite out of all their daily specials (the daily specials we have had so far: enchiladas, sopes and gorditas, fried chicken).
TLDR: the daily specials are all delicious, all their food is yummy!
