The staff here are always professional and friendly but not overbearing. I eat here frequently, lately daily, and the place is always clean. You can tell there’s good management. You pay a little more, you get a little more.

Our favorite “fast food” place. You can pay a lot more for Mexican food and find it’s not much better. They do a good job of serving fresh hot food in a timely manner, at a fair price. I think that’s what Fast Food is supposed to be. Isn’t it?

My hubs and I have been ordering takeout through the app about once a week from this Taco Time in Ballard ever since the pandemic hit in 2020. This TT kept us fed and alive throughout the whole COVID tragedy, and after we got out of it, it was a nice treat to get a couple of times a month.
Our favorite dishes are the Taco Salad, Fish Soft Taco (more like a smaller burrito), and the Fiesta Platter. We really appreciate that they use as many local ingredients as possible and that their packaging is compostable.
The staff are always friendly, nice, and efficient. Probably the best Taco Time in the Puget Sound. Thanks to the whole team at the Taco Time Shilshole!

I can’t believe anyone calls this place less than authentic. Taco Time is perhaps the most authentic Pacific Northwexican restaurant in existence. Some would argue they invented Pacific Northwexican.
Come for the “burrito”, stay for the “classic burrito” that’s an actual burrito, stay a little longer for an order of “crustos” (basically tortilla chips with cinnamon and sugar but trust me they’re great). They’ve even begun to sell Caesar salads which are actually authentically Mexican.

My sister and I had an enjoyable lunch. The atmosphere was comfortable, very clean and the staff were friendly. Dannyelle helped us with our order, she was so nice and patient. Our tacos tasted delicious! The fresh ingredients MAKE the tacos so good. We will be back. Thank you Taco Time in Ballard!

This is an excellent spot. We love coming here for a quick bite if we’re in the area. The service is always top notch – super friendly staff and the food comes out very quickly. We have been many times and it is consistently solid. We often get the Casita Burrito Platter and the Tostada Salad and it’s always fresh and tasty. You really can’t beat this place for price, service, and simplicity. We also really appreciate their focus on compostable materials. This is a standout in the fast food space for sure!

Small parking lot, so if it’s full consider the drive through then stop by the Ballard Locks (literally yards away) and enjoy your fabulous Taco Time meal there. Not to discourage you from dining in as the cathedral-ceilinged space inside features all cushy-backed booth seating, kind of old school diner-style, and they were all clean and comfortable. Guest wifi is available, and I connected merely by clicking on the SSID in my phones AP list in my wifi settings while waiting for my food and companion to arrive. The food at any Taco Time is always fresh and good. It has never disappointed me no matter which location I’ve been to and this one is no exception. The staff will take the food to your table when it’s done and it’s worth the wait always. They also have one of those cool soda machines where you can just push a button and it has a billion flavors in it. Also, the ice comes out super fast just like the rest of them, too, so watch out for that. Other than that, enjoy!
