Had a Burrito bowl for dinner yesterday and it was really nice. Tasty and very good amount of portion. I came back today wanting to order a Burrito with same condiments as yesterday, as I was struggling to recollect what condiments I had added yesterday, the person at the counter asked me what was the name i had given for my order yesterday, he pulled up that order and placed the same order for me just now. That was awesome!

I have dined in, ordered take out, and catered from Tacorita many times. Each time the food is delicious, the restaurant is fun, and the staff are friendly and fast. Tacorita is THE best spot for a quick or casual lunch or dinner.

The food was sooooo good, and for the price everything was so perfectly sized. I got a burrito and the Ice Cream Float, and both were HUGE! Both were absolutely delicious and I will be back as soon as I can.
Service was also amazing. The two girls working the counter were so sweet and kind.

Nice spot, food was kinda iffy, Crunchwrap was good but the side of rice we had was seasoned so aggressively we could not eat it. Also was a bit pricy

I don’t even know where to start. This is some of the best food I’ve had in Maine. From Portland to Fort Kent, this is quality eats that really impressed me.
The Birria Tacos… Ohhhh the Birria Tacos! Has food ever made you wish you could move in? The most tender, most flavor filled steak imaginable, and a little side of consomme to drizzle (read: drench) your tacos in. Get in my mouth… Get in my mouth every day….
Counterpoint; The Fish Tacos. A generous golden, crispy battered delicate, flaky fillet of fish. Zesty, chipotle mayo coleslaw with a crunch just tantalizing enough to draw your senses down a wonderful side path to smack straight into the tangy, sweet pineapple chunks. The clean simplicity was like a cool dip in the lagoon before laying back in the sun for the next bite of Birria.
Thank you. And I’m sorry. I can’t believe I used to take you to Taco Bell… All the time… But if it lead to this… If that’s what it took! If the gorditas of a sorrowful past have lead to a life lived righting that wrong, it was worth it. Man, this place is incredible! Just awesome! Eat here. Eat here often, and leave never disappointed.

Our first visit. A cute place with pretty decorations in the middle of a wonderful little district in this university town. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. We all enjoyed our food. I wish the guacamole was homemade.

It was fine. Nothing super exciting. We were hoping for something a bit more authentic, but the carnitas tacos were good and the salsa was good. My dining companion ordered enchiladas and their was just ok. I can see this being a fun place if you don’t mind noise and lots of activity. That particular evening, it was good, not great.

They serve tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and a few versions of taco salad. And horchata. The food is good. But the menu isn’t very big; I used to live next door to their other location (in Plainsboro NJ) and the menu there was considerably bigger, with enchiladas and a dozen other Mexican style dishes, which are not available here in the Orono store.
Restaurant is clean, staff is friendly and helpful, knows their menu really well.
Only problem is the intersection out front can be dangerous because it is very busy plus has a weird layout. Also all the streets in the area except the main road are ONE WAY.

We get the same order every time we come in, the taco salad, but this time the salads were smaller, the carnitas under-seasoned, and they had completely changed the recipe for the rice and beans which were dry, unseasoned, and flavorless. Tacorita was already a facsimile of Mexican food mostly prized for its convenient proximity to the university rather than flavor, quality, or price. It’s sad to see it go further downhill.
