I went in on New Year’s Eve 2025. Ordered ahead before leaving work. I knew they were going to be packed because of the holiday. There was a kid at the front of the store who was not only running the pass but taking calls and running the front desk, as well. He was an absolute legend. I waited maybe 5 minutes at the front and the containers were absolutely packed. I’ve been going here since it opened quite a few years back and have not had a single bad experience. Food is delicious and the portions are generous. They will literally overfill the container and smush it shut. Their chicken has the best fry and texture out of any other chinese restaurant in the area. Always my #1 overall Chinese spot. I like them all in Sheboygan, but China Star is my go to.

As far as Chinese takeout goes, this place is all of the bad and none of the good. Orange chicken was 4/10, spicy beef should really be called mild vegetables and onions, as it had about 5 tiny pieces of beef total, and the crab rangoons were 2/10. Eggrolls also about a 4/10, really just not great food. Won’t be repeat customers.

Food is frequently bad. There is kids working register that are rude and not nice, the owners friend harasses you and says you stealing for taking hot sauce for $60 order. Food is very very very frequently not good. Rude kids
