Let’s start with the food. Absolutely amazing! We tried the brisket, chicken wings and pulled pork for the meats. They couldn’t keep the ribs in stock. That’s how good this food is. For sides we had the baked beans, mac & cheese, coleslaw and Greens. The portions are very generous. You can’t beat the prices for the quality of food. I am a picky eater. It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed my entire meal and this was all absolutely delicious. I don’t care how far you have to travel to get this it will be 100% worth it! Highly recommend them. Smaller place. Not a lot of tables. You may have to take your meal to go.

The bone in ribeye was to die for!!! I ordered one to go it’s good.. get it with extra zip sauce. It’s house made!!!! Omg this place is great! You can eat in or take out! Pulled pork loaded fries were excellent ! The people are super friendly!! Will be back for sure !!

So my husband and I drove an hr and a half to try this bbq and we were absolutely NOT let down!! By far the best BBQ ive had in the mid west!! Every single item we tried was amazing and we tried it all. The ribeye steak was so good I didnt even want A1 (which is saying something for me lol), the brisket was insanely moist and delicious the beans had a delicious kick to them, the cornbread was soooooft and moist and flavorful, the ribs literally slid off the bones and the greeeeens, oooooooh the greens were so so good, I could eat those everyday for the rest of my life!! Lol. Oh my i almost forgot about the Mac and cheese!! That woulda been a sin bc that mac and cheese absolutely slaps!! Nom nom nom!! This is a must must must try restaurant!! U will NOT regret it. Honestly the only complaint i can even think of is i was a little let down that they didnt have dessert bc a southern peach cobbler or some banana pudding to finish woulda killed!!

This place lives up to its name. You walk in and your nose is filled with that smell you get from a family cookout. I had a brisket Mac bowl paired with some fries and it was 10/10. They have a life long customer in me.

Have you ever ate a Steak with a plastic fork and knife? That’s how good my bone in medium well Ribeye steak was today….. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!
I travel for a living and it’s not every day you fine a gem like this on the road.
The staff was friendly, the bathroom was clean and the food was delicious!
I also rarely order green beans, because, well they’re green beans. But they had a really Good flavor so I would recommend them too. If they’re out of collard greens.
This is only my 3rd time in this part of Michigan.
I look forward to coming back here.

I would recommend some type of lemonade/tea. To go with that delicious food!! But, Maybe that’s just a southern thang!

Awesome Bbq!!! I had the pulled pork, mac and cheese and sweet potato casserole it was excellent. Home cooked food. Definitely will be back.

First time trying this place ive heard nothing but good things so I have been dying to try it out. I had the funky burger and a side of Mac n cheese and let me tell you that brisket was fire!! My wife and I went to school with Mogy and wanted to support him and his business well I can say for certain I know where to get the best BBQ!
