I generally do not write reviews for food businesses, but my experience at Bawarchi – Eldorado Hills was very disappointing.
I ordered 2 orders of Munta Masala, 1 whole bird Tandoori Chicken, and 2 Chicken Fry Biryani’s.
The Munta Masala was just okay, nothing special.
The major issue was the whole bird Tandoori Chicken. It was burnt on the outside and completely undercooked inside. Serving undercooked meat can lead to serious health hazards, which is extremely concerning. I have attached pictures for reference.
I informed the person at the cashier, who said he would speak with owner (P******). Unfortunately, no one followed up, and I never received a call or any response regarding the issue.
Additionally, I noticed a serious concern with their payment system. My credit card information was registered and saved without my consent. The system never asked for permission or gave an option to save the card, which is unacceptable and raises data security concerns.
Mistakes can happen, but how they are handled matters. The lack of accountability, food safety concerns, and payment security issues made this a very poor experience. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves food quality, customer service, and payment practices.

This is my 2nd time visiting and the food is delicious again!! The Butter Chicken, and Madras Fish Curry are AMAZING!! It’s located at the end of the street, next to the theater – so it’s perfect for a date night. Service is quick too.

I found this restaurant on resy, we went with it even though it was an hour drive since it had such a variation on the menu which works well for our fam. My youngest loves masala dosa, it was nice. The staff that took our order, the one who cleared the table and also the kitchen staff were nice and checking and making sure every table and order were taken care of. We ordered the chicken malai tikka, veg manchow soup, chicken lollypop, crispy baby corn (dont remember the exact name), veg noodles, kadai paneer, palak paneer, matar paneer, goat pepper masala. We loved everything except the kadai paneer. For the drinks we did mango lassi, their special falooda was good and thums up. Sadly we didnt take any pictures as we were too busy enjoying the dishes. Their chicken lollypop is a must try, not every restaurant that I try it at nails it. Only suggestion is to serve it with schezwan sauce.

We wanted to order dosas – we have been told it will take more than an hour to serve- we had to change the order to North Indian food- the paneer butter masala had so much food color- chapati we ordered was the readymade frozen ones. In short the food was not good at all. We order a drink which never got served but was charged- when we pointed out they said wait for 5 more mins so we cancelled it. Still on bill they charge 3% extra for using a credit card – not an experience where we want to visit them again.

I ordered off of DoorDash and was impressed with packaging materials, nothing got to me soggy. The Hyderabad Onion Samosa was absolutely amazing, it was perfectly fried and the filling was flavorful with a bit of spiciness. The Garlic Naan was perfectly cooked and had so much garlic, fresh herbs, and a smidge of salt that I really enjoyed. The Baingain Bharta was ordered at a ‘spicy’ and didn’t disappoint, might have to do medium next time.

Food was good, no issue there. Medium spice is no spice, so don’t be afraid to go ‘hot’. Service has a lot to be improved. Server was short, impatient. Completely inattentive to us and other patrons. He got in a physical altercation and argument with another customer while we were there (rude customer). Server appears to be having a very bad day but still we went for the food not the drama.

Paneer Biryani is the worst Biryani I’ve ever tasted. Don’t come here. It’s not the same Bawarchi you’ve heard of. It’s below average food. Best to avoid this spot.
I got Bawarchi Special Goat Curry and it’s flavorless. Chicken Chetinadu is ordinary. Shrimp Curry is decent but nothing special.
