Stopped here while staying locally to visit Mammoth Cave. Staff were friendly and food was fresh and tasty. We got the queso which was delicious and a huge portion. Kids enjoyed chicken fingers, steak quesadilla and rice. The adult portions were huge, especially the bowl of chicken soup which was delicious but a giant amount. We dined at two Mexican restaurants during our stay and both were good but I would probably pick this one over the other. The only thing that may have improved would be to have some music on; there were not many customers and no audio from TVs or music so it was very quiet.

Good pricing, great portions and great service! Other local Mexican restaurants have been reducing their portions and raising they’re prices while this place has great food and larger portions! Will definitely be our regular local Mexican Restaurant from now on! Try the Seafood Frajita, It’s awesome!

My Wife and I have been staying at Mammoth Cave on vacation and have eaten at different restaurants in Cave City during our stay. All have been average to less than average until we stopped here. We were a little wary because they were not busy but WOW were we surprised. The place was spotlessly clean and the food and service was excellent. We are partial to a Mexican restaurant in our hometown and have yet to find another restaurant that has even come close to compare to the service, atmosphere, friendliness and quality of food until now. The prices are more than fair and highly recommend everyone to make this a first choice.

I had the grilled chicken over rice with cheese dip and was exactly as expected. I added some pico de gallo and it really kicked it up a notch. We ate the queso with ground beef so quickly I only got a picture of the empty bowl.

We saw this place in a Facebook group and the reviews were great so we had to try it out. When we pulled in there wasn’t a single car in the parking lot. We thought that it was abandoned. I’m so glad that wasn’t the case. I ordered the salmon and shrimp and when it came out the plate was literally on fire. And it was AMAZING everything was incredibly tasty and seasoned. I ordered a beer and they brought this HUGE glass 32oz drink for $6. OMG. The service was great and the manager was always checking on us. I would definitely recommend and return.

Best Mexican restaurant within 100 miles!!! The staff is amazing, so polite and welcoming great service. Beans and rice, chunky guacamole, cheese enchiladas were all amazing!! And the steak is perfect angus steak cooked better than a steak house! Coronarita was perfect!!! I can’t explain just how perfect this food is. I live locally about 30 minutes away, we pass several mexican resturants just to dine here because it is hands down and up better than any other restaurant!! And the PICKLES!!! Do yourself a favor, (i know this sounds weird) but ask for some pickles!! You will be so glad you did. A shot of tequila goes with the pickles perfectly!! Just an amazing place to eat!! I highly recommend!!

Finally got to try this place and I do not regret it one bit! Great atmosphere with plenty of seating. The food was fantastic. The Beef Super Burrito was packed with steak. The El Amigo plate was absolutely loaded with shrimp, chicken & steak. We were so stuffed & enjoyed every bite.

We have been here several times now. We have tried most of the restaurants and all of the Mexican restaurants in the area. El Alcapulco is by far the best place to eat out within 25 miles of our home. In fact we pass two other Mexican restaurants to get here! The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. The steak is better than any steak house! The service is so friendly and attentive. The facility is so clean and bright. We simply love it and hope that you and yours will have an opportunity to enjoy it soon.
