Went for breakfast as a recommendation from a chef, and it was so good… the bacon was actually crispy (as requested). Then we had a party of 9 the same day and decided to do take out. Again, everyone said their dishes were delicious. Plus the staff are genuinely friendly and appreciate the business. We are new to Carp, and will go back and recommend often! Thank you!

My friend put me on this place for fish tacos over 10 years ago, and it’s always a staple stop whenever driving through.

Authentic Flavor & Thoughtful Accommodation!

Reyes Market is an essential Carpinteria institution. I had a SUPERB Bean, Rice, and Cheese Burrito here yesterday-the definition of a perfect, comforting burrito.

As a vegetarian, finding an establishment that maintains traditional, high-quality standards for authentic Mexican food while successfully meeting dietary needs (specifically, offering lard-free beans) can be a major challenge. Reyes Market excels at this balancing act.

The service is always friendly, the food is authentic, and their ability to successfully cater to both the local Latino community and specific dietary preferences truly sets them apart.

I have no personal or professional connection to the business—I am simply a grateful customer who recognizes and supports outstanding local quality and thoughtfulness. Highlv recommended!

After trying out many of the local Latin food establishments in town, including one recommended a couple of times, Reyes Market is hands down the most authentic Latino food in Carpinteria. They lived up to the hype, and the food was beyond delicious. This is family owned and operated. The staff is always very kind, and professional in keeping the tables clean and making sure you have everything you need and your order is right the first time. No I’m not related lol, I’m actually new to the area. They serve breakfast all day and the lunch/dinner entrees honestly taste just like homemade food. Reyes Market is also a small neighborhood store for the Latino community where you find food, drinks, and snacks from Latin America. I moved here from Colorado. The only place I ate at this good was actually in New Mexico. Sorry Colorado.

Authentic and delicious. Good price. Has lots of market groceries in the restaurant.

Birria is a Mexican dish from the state of Jalisco. It is a traditional ancestral soup or stew made from a combination of chili pepper-based goat meat adobo, garlic, cumin, bay leaves, and thyme, and cooked at a low heat. Birria is slow-stewed in a pot.

The marketplace is a fun place to windowshop while waiting for your food.

You need to be able to read Spanish to read the menu, but they do have an English version on their website. Friendly people, and the food is cheaper than a fast food joint.

The double burger is delicious, messy, and too big to finish. The fries are frozen but perfectly cooked. Tacos are huge, tasty, and made with fresh ingredients. My fiance thinks that their chicken tacos are better than most of the “gourmet” places in the area.

Fantastic taqueria with the best tamales (Rajas, chicken, pork, vegetable) in the area during Christmas time. There are tables inside and out to eat there. I also really enjoy their burritos.

Burritos are very good (and large). People inside are very nice. Market is very cute. Thank you. The green salsa is amazing and not too spicy. Also like the pico de gallo.
