Good bagels better than another local bagel shop across the river. And cheaper! Tuna salad is good. Egg salad is fine, pretty creamy and the egg is not diced but cut into discs. Ordered here for a brunch we hosted and I’d do it again for bagels, maybe different sides.

First time coming here, and I’ve gotta say it brings a nostalgic vibe once I stepped in! Anyone who’s been to Mr V’s in beacon’s Main Street will love Downtown Bagels! The staff is very friendly, and I had to wait less than 5 minutes for my sandwich to be made and ready!
I enjoy small businesses, escape racially when they put love and effort into their products! This is a go-to for a quick bite with low wait times!

I always go to blazing bagels, but they are closed on Sunday ☹️. Gave this place a chance and was hopeful due to it being busy. I was extremely disappointed in the 2 takeout sandwiches. One bacon egg cheese on rye and one sausage egg and cheese on a roll for $10.92 paid almost $2 more and receive much less. Received a bread sandwich with a finch egg and 2 pieces of bacon or more like bacon bits. The other ketchup sandwich was one piece of sausage which barely fit the roll with a finch egg. Employees were busy and still nice. Cook was stingy and atmosphere was typical quick stop deli.

Ok so I love this place, however the layout needs a revamp, because it causes chaos during busy times.. and this place is very busy. People tend to wait at tables for their food because there’s not enough standing space or a clear designated place for a line to form for paying and for waiting. This cases those who want to dine-in 1) not have a place to sit, or dentures them from wanting to eat it. There needs to be a clear area for waiting, a clear area for paying thusly freeing up tables for customers who want to dine-in. I feel like that would also help the chaotic paying process if your waiting to pay and also make it easier for the staff to deliver food the the fine in customers. The food is good the atmosphere needs WORK. Again I love their food, I am hesitant to stop some times due to the chaos.

Best bagels ever! Met the owner Spiro and he gave me a tour of the area where they make the bagels from scratch. You don’t see this type of craftsmanship anymore. Highly, highly recommend this place if you want great authentic bagels. Great service and staff as well.

Ordered egg and cheese… All I got was the egg. Brought it right back no problem.
They fixed the issue but microwaved the egg. It was inedible… Egg was rubbery and had to be thrown out.
Will never ever go there again.
Cashier had an attitude.. but in her defense it was 911. Maybe it was just a bad day all around.

This place is ridiculous I paid a little over $5 for this bacon egg and cheese and the sandwich itself wasn’t worth that. The bread was extremely cold, the cheese wasn’t even melted all they did was slap a slice of cold cheese on there and only one egg and the bacon wasn’t crispy as it should be. For $5 they should be putting 2 eggs minimum probably even a hasbrown as well. I’ve tried many bacon egg and cheese that were thousand times better and for less than $4. If the price is going to be expensive at least have the quality of the food match up.

We called to place an order, and they even read it back to us to confirm everything, so we thought it would be right. When we got there, the place was packed (which usually means good food, right?). We waited in line for a while. Unfortunately, our order was completely wrong. I wanted to go back and have it fixed because my parents and I were so hungry, but the wait was just too long. Really disappointed — everything just seemed so unorganized.

I’ve tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but every time I call in my order it comes out wrong. Doesn’t matter if the place is busy or not they never get the order right even something simple. I ordered a bagel toasted with bacon and extra cream cheese. What I got was a cold bagel with an inch of cream cheese and no bacon. The bagels are good, but they need to upgrade the phone system or something for takeout.
