We went there last Wednesday with a group of friends that are ysual costumers. It was our first time there and we loved it.
The space is very nice and you can feel that it is a place with history, a traditional place.
The service was very friendly and fast.
They spoke in German, English and Portuguese and I am sure they could speak other languages too.
The food was excellent and the drink are amazing.
We had an amazing hazelnut schnapps.
After dinner we moved inside and I must say that both the esplanade and the inside were very enjoyable.
I would highly recommend it.

It was nice to be back after a gap of some years; we sat inside this time. Their Flammkuchen is as crispy and satisfying as ever, pairs very well with a glass of chilled Grauburgunder.

Deeply disappointing experience, having been to this restaurant many times since 2010, always memorable and excellent; we were looking forward to this in Berlin. We reserved a table well in advance (for New Year’s Day), only be seated, and then immediately moved to the second room, dining alone the whole time. The reason given to us was that someone else had reserved exactly this table. Why place us there, then? I’m speculating if this was outright discrimination, as one of us has a very obvious disability. After I posted this review, the headwaitress redeemed herself, I appreciate your apologies, but it still wasn’t a good experience, no hello and no goodbye, and the food left a lot to be desired.

The staff was friendly and accommodating, although the menu was only in German they did speak English, the food was tasty, although not really my personal style I can recommend that the dishes were well made and pleased the people I was with.. unfortunately forgot to take more photos of the dishs. Their Creme brulee was tasty and smooth

This is probably our favorite restaurant in Berlin. I like consistency, quality service/staff, good food and lovely venue. We have returned many times and we will continue to do so.

What a great place. You feel welcomed once you entered the door and greeted by the personnel. If you wait you enjoy a nice beer or wine at the bar until seated. The scenery is a real German beer keller feeling. The food speaks for its self. Great German kitchen with a modern twist. And dont get me started about the wine list.
Dont forget to make a reservation

This restaurant eschews modernity in all its culinary forms, including the language by which it is delivered. Even as an English speaker, u can appreciate the ousting of English, to create a pure Germanic feel.

However, the food is not really reaching the heights it should be, given its state in the Michelin lists.

Most interestingly, while the food mostly disappoints on its own, the aggressive wines tend to fill in the gaps, completing the flavors. Even with that, I would not rate the meal on par. However, the prices seem very reasonable for what you get, and it is a classic food experience.

Renger Patzsch is one of my favorite restaurants in Schöneberg. A small selection of exquisite dishes that changes with the seasons, fine ingredients, carufully arranged plates. I love the Tartes Flambées, thin, crispy with a rich filling. Best in the neighborhood!
