I love the ambience of the restaurant, the way it’s decorated, the pictures, and the little sayings that are all around the restaurant. They also have plenty of outdoor seating in the front of the building and around the side of it. Chairs are a little fragile and wobbly but maybe that’s just the one I was sitting in the last time I went. Anywho y’all need to stop in here and try their food cause it’s fan-freaking-tastic!
I ordered a Corn Dog and Tater Tot’s and from the first bite of each, I couldn’t believe how amazing they both were.
The corn dogs hotdog had such a wonderful taste and the batter surrounding it was nothing short of delicious. Never in my 72 years of life have I had a corn dog that delicious!!!!
The tater tot’s that I got to go with it, once again, were to die for. I believe they were called Mini Tot’s, with a perfect crispy crunch on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. I could NOT believe how such simple food could taste that deep and flavorful!!!
Unfortunately, I did NOT get a picture of the food because once I tasted it, I couldn’t stop long enough to snap a picture, as it was so delicious.
If you are reading this, PLEASE take the time to stop in at the Dog Hais Biergarten on
N University in Peoria and have some of their food. You will NOT be disappointed!!!
The food is unique in touting fancy hot dogs in toasted Hawaiian rolls. Their chicken sandwiches and sausages also come in Hawaiian rolls. It looks delicious and tastes pretty decent too. I had the chicken tenders and I liked it.
You order at the counter, and the servers/cashiers are very kind and helpful when explaining their menu. They are ready with info on their lunch specials and good with detailed questions.
I liked the ambiance. They have large windows facing Shnucks and it lets in a lot of light. It also wasn’t too crowded around noon.
I enjoyed the sweet potato fries the most.
Also… these chili cheese tots were good too.
Gets a little loud while busy, but that’s expected at a Biergarten. Solid A
Edit: 1 day after this visit. I came here a second time for lunch. Waited 40 minutes for 1 hot dog and 1 sausage. My coworkers were done eating by the time my food finally arrived. Review dropped from 5 to 4 because of this. The hot dog was also cooked to a crisp, totally burned black, dry, and shriveled up. The sausage was good.
