I’ve saw some reviews and after being here a few months I asked a few locals and they said yes try it out you will like it. I love some good fresh fried chicken and this place did not disappoint. I did a to go order and the staff was friendly and service was quick. I definitely will be back to try their other menu items. It’s a little while in the wall so to speak but offers a wide variety of choices.

I stumbled upon this gem when driving from Douglas to the Valdosta airport. It’s off the main road through the small town. It was fantastic. Best fried chicken livers I’ve ever had. Excellent fried okra and mac-n-cheese. And very reasonably priced. The staff was professional and pleasant, and the food came quickly even though fresh made. There also was inexpensive gas right across the street. I definitely recommend Bits!

Got food poisoning from here..
Undercooked wings. No seasoning in the flour on the wings. Slimy chicken skin under the bland flower. Also no seasoning on the fries..

I honestly wish I could give it 0 stars. Wasted 30 minutes of my time & got no food. Absolutely unprofessional. Zero apologies were offered. Won’t be visiting here again and definitely will be expressing how horrible the service is to anyone that will listen.

I stop here quite often. The experience can be wishy washy at times. Today I decided to share a review. Normally the food is always good. Today I ordered the liver dinner meal. This is a snack portion size. They was out chicken on the bone due to them closing at 6. I was ordering at 5:30. It took them 10 ten minutes for the food. Which I don’t mind as long as it’s right. Look at this and the fries were could.

Absolutely loved the food. Just a good Ole down home fry food joint. I had mushrooms, okra, and a 4 piece bits chicken fingers dipped in sweet and tangy sauce. Everything was good. Only critique I could of had was the crinkle cut fries were a little to soft for my liking. Everything else was delicious, specially their honey mustard! Next time hopefully I will try their fried chicken and livers

I ordered the catfish dinner.The fish was fried perfectly not over cooked.The meal came with 2 filets 2 sides. The price of the meal was priced perfectly.I also ordered a side order of fried okra. Everything was hot,and left an explosion in your mouth of greatness.The macaroni and cheese could have used a tad bit more of flavor but overall was good. I spent under $20 for all this and being just myself I was able to make 2 meals out of one meal and shared the appetizer with my neighbors.

The food is delicious, let me start with that. Also the portions are worth the prices. But I’ve had 2 not so good experiences with the service. The ladies who usually run the drive through window are always polite, but the guy, not so much. It’s Lakeland, so it’s not many choices as far as food so we went often. But if my presence as a customer upsets you during busy hours, I’ll gladly go elsewhere. Especially after just seeing him smile and greet the customers ahead of me and waiting in a long line for over 20mins for food.
