Had such a great night at Wild Cherry! We showed up around 5pm, put our names down, and after hanging out in the neighborhood for a bit, snagged a reservation at the bar at 7:30,
totally worth the wait.

We ordered the Caesar salad and steak dinner for two and it was absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly, the baked potato was super tasty and we subbed the 2nd potato for fries, which proved to be a solid choice! For dessert we opted for the coconut cake and next time we’ll definitely try the swirl!

Huge shoutout to the head bartender, Robert, he was so fun to chat with and made fantastic drinks all night. Great vibes, great food, and a memorable experience all around. Can’t wait to go back!

I was in the area and decided to try to get a bar seat on a Sunday evening as a walk in. They were booked for the night but were able to get us a standing spot to grab a drink. We then got lucky and got a bar seat prior to a reservation coming in. The hostess, Victoria, was extremely friendly and helpful. We found the service to be great amongst all the staff. We had a limited time at the bar so we stuck with the burger and fries. The burger was solid, the bun was so fresh and grilled to perfection. We also enjoyed our drinks, the margarita being the favorite. I’d definitely come back to try the steak dinner.

Wild Cherry brings Old Hollywood elegance to the West Village. The service is impeccable, the cocktails are thoughtfully crafted, and the food is both high quality and delicious. We ordered the oysters, the Frog Legs Kiev, and the steak dinner for two. Every dish was exceptional, with the Frog Legs Kiev being my personal favorite. I would highly recommend Wild Cherry to anyone who appreciates excellent food, a sense of theatre, and a genuinely fun night out.

Pros: a perfect burger, excellent vibes.

Cons: LOUD! Excessive yellow lighting, impossible to reserve, the high end of NYC pricing for this type of food, a botched “Alfredo” with a sauce of watery butter. The coconut cake was crumbly and tasted like it spent too much time resting in the fridge.

Diner aesthetic meets French cuisine is an intriguing twist, but not necessarily needed. The ambiance, though charming, felt at times like a Times Square attraction. The curved ceiling and thin walls amplified sound, making it difficult to hear the one you were dining with.

Service was fine, attentive, but not at the level you’d expect from the people behind Frenchette and Le Veau d’or. It was clear it was all hands on deck, but that left the bathroom a mess and missed opportunities for real hospitality.

The food was priced somewhat high for what it was — it lacked the richness French cuisine should have but the menu items did have the nostalgic comfort diner food brings. The Alfredo and rice and beans were charming!

What they did do right was the martini, but you can find many a good martini in Manhattan and with more intimate atmosphere and hospitable service.

Why is it so hard to get in? Because it is super teeny tiny! Worth whatever effort you or your friends take to get a resy. The space is magical. Everyone generous of spirit and warm. And the food delicious. Don’t miss the Coconut Cake

Everything was spectacular: old fashioned, frog legs Kiev (my first time having them in any fashion), burger/fries, and coconut cake. The staff was also by far the MOST commemorative of a birthday in our party that I’ve ever seen any restaurant be. Multiple staffers, including those who didn’t wait on us directly, offered their birthday wishes.

Took me three weeks to get a reservation and I was really happy with coming here despite inclement weather. Both hostess and the First Gentleman I spoke to Nicolas were very kind and helpful! I had to run in and out because I work but I had the coconut cake! It was delicious! I was at the bar though and I didn’t try the food but if I get another reservation I most definitely will try the menu!

Get loud though but it was party to the side of me liquor glasses all over the table..so there’s that. However, it was a nice little date for me to me and will be back especially for that cake.

Thank you!!
