At our Bowling Green, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

i visited this location on 12/13/25 around 7 pm and i just wanted to brag on the staff for a moment. it was a bit busy when i came through but the staff was very friendly and welcoming and had my order brought out to me pretty quick. the food was great and cooked just how i asked to be. great job.

Now I know this might sound weird, but this Captain D’s in Bowling Green KY i have found my favorite catfish. It is perfectly cooked and crunchy. We come here about twice a week and every single time it has been perfect.

The food is delicious and the service is fantastic! A friend recommended that my husband and I give this Captain D’s another try after we hadn’t gone for several years. So glad we did! Management is doing a great job of keeping on top of things. I hope that continues. 🙂

Very poor service. Green bean lid was not sealed. Green bean juice all in my mac and cheese. Green bean juice all in the fish. Fish was soggy. And I ordered plain and got Cajun fish. Can’t eat it 40$ worth of trash
