We were staying the night in Greenfield, CA, and found the Rising Phoenix Taphouse in King City. Such a wonderful atmosphere, amazing wood-fired pizza, great beers, ciders, and sours from around Central California. Great outdoor patio with tables, stools, and an amazing fire pit with seating. Ask about the wood that went into all the tables. This place is a gem of the community and area.

A nice outdoor beer garden layout, with a small selection of wood fired pizza choices, among others. Wide selection of beers and some ciders on tap. Well made pizza , that didn’t have a soggy crust :). There is also a limited seating area indoors, helpful when the weather is not behaving. We had a nice quick meal during a drive through the area along Highway 101, not too far off the highway. The public parking lot in the back allows convenient parking with easy access through the rear entrance.

We went there just for one drink. It was amazing. Wish we could stay longer, but we had to be somewhere else. The cider we had was amazing and the atmosphere with live music was great! We enjoyed it so much. We hope to come again next time.

This beer garden and taproom is a family-friendly gem in downtown King City.
There’s ample parking in the back, the outdoor games are fun for all ages, and the variety of beer, cider, kombucha, and wine is fantastic. Plus the wood-fired pizzas? Chef’s kiss! Try the Blazin’ Phoenix and the Railroad Exchange.
Great place to meet friends, grab dinner, and relax!

It was a month since it opened and going in on a Friday 7:30pm night was very lively. We spent $55 for two flights and a brick open pizza that was a good size for the prize, although it won’t fill you up if you share with another person. The sours, imperials, lagers, stouts, and IPAs will definitely fill you up.
The vibe felt very block party with a lot of the people knowing each other. The city is small so it’s a given to bump into your neighbors, but it’s such a fun atmosphere and will definitely bring my friends and hang out at the fire pit.

My bf n I came to Pinnacles NP and stayed in King City. There isnt many options in the area we stayed so when we saw the mexican restaurant next door was closed, we decided to give this place a try.
Walking in, it was confusing. There was a bar that went back into a yard. Felt like going to a hangout. So we came in, ordered two beers n two pizzas. Three minutes shy of an hr-remember we were sitting outside in the evening on Feb 14th so it was chilly–, our pizzas haven’t been prepared–what was worse, my bf noticed pretzels in the oven while we were waiting and on our way out, they were behind the counter for staff…
We ended up going to King City Pizza just 3mins away and it was a night and day experience–family owned. We felt better there and only waited for 15mins at the most for one small pizza, one large pizza and bread twists.

New beer garden located downtown King City. They only serve pizza with an outdoor pizza oven that was tasty and a solid selection of beers on tap. Outdoor patio has large screen TV along with corn hole and huge fire pit.
