Visiting out of town and we looked at multiple places for good NYC pizza. Lots of overhyped disappointments but we finally came across Village Square on our last day. The pizza was phenomenal with an amazing deep dish crust and a perfect kick on the sauce. The cheese was amazing and you could tell it was fresh mozzarella. Will be our go to place if we ever return. Staff was incredibly friendly as well. 10/10

Really great Sicilian slice! The flavor of the sauce and pepperoni was phenomenal. Considering the amount of pepperoni they load onto it there is minimal oil. Crispy undercarriage. The interior was soft and spongy. A TAD doughy for my liking- I would’ve like it baked a minute longer- but many people love that. Still would definitely come again.

One of the best “fast pizza” joints.
Their signature slices are actually focaccias, on a very good crust, and great toppings.
We had the eggplant and the “meat lovers” – quite recommended.

Nice pizza shop with quick service and delicious pizza!! Great variety and excellent taste! It was hard to choose but I loved my grandma slice ( the pesto was perfect!) and my sons meat lovers square! Cheap price for the quality!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must-Try for Pizza Lovers!
I stopped by this pizzeria and was blown away by the quality and freshness of their pizza. The display case was packed with a mouthwatering variety—each slice looked crisp, colorful, and loaded with fresh toppings. I tried a slice with cheese, basil, and what looked like eggplant, and it was absolutely delicious. The crust had the perfect crunch, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh.
What really sealed the deal? The prices. For the quality you’re getting, it’s a total steal. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a casual meal, this spot delivers on flavor, freshness, and value. Highly recommend!

I had two slices pepperoni and grandma’s and both were delicious, perfect crisp and quality ingredients, tomato sauce well balanced. Friendly and nice service.

Lives upto the expectations. Was recommended Village Square Pizza as one of the best in NYC by many and having tried it personally I can vouch for it. The pizza is simply yum and the variety is fabulous. Loved the classics and also stuff like white. It is one of the places you must visit while in NYC especially if you are in for the first time. I’m sure to visit it again when I visit NYC.
The taste and memories still linger in me. Wonderful place.

A plain (cheese) slice is always the tell about pizza quality. For someone picking and choosing about when to eat carbs, Villa Square was absolutely worth it. I drive my wife crazy researching the best NY pizza, and even she agreed it was worth skipping the other 10 pizza joints we walked past in the bitter cold.
Quintessential thin, crispy, foldable crust that didn’t flop down when you pick it up. But still great chew around the perimeter. Perfect balance of cheese and sauce… and WOW…that sauce. Think fresh tomatoes in Italy and nothing more.

Tried the eggplant pizza and it was SO good, never knew how the crust could be so crispy yet soft on the inside. It’s a short 10 min walk from the MET too.

Village Square is now my go-to pizza joint in the Upper East Side. They nail the thick crust pizza. Every bite has a satisfying crunch while still maintaining the doughiness of the thick crust. Of the assortment I got, the highlights were the Pepperoni and the Grandma slice. The pepperoni has such good flavor, coined up and crispy. I liked the splash of pesto on the Grandma. The place is clean, the service is super fast and friendly and it’s reasonably priced. I’ll definitely be coming back to try the meat lovers slice and garlic knots.
