What a great addition to Burkesville Ky food choices! They have just been open for a few months and still figuring things out. Overall a great experience! Ordered the meatball appetizer and they were amazing. My wife ordered the cheese ravioli with the Vodka sauce. So good! I ordered the Alfredo with Baked chicken. It was also very good. We ordered a bottle of wine as well. The wine and food were all reasonably priced. The reason I didn’t give 5 for the food was I felt like the breadsticks were undercooked and the cheese ravioli was overcooked just a smidge. Service was good. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. However, we ordered a bottle of wine and instead of pouring a little in the glass for one of us to taste, she just filled the glasses up. I know it’s a small thing, but sometimes the small things matter to the experience. Overall, Food had excellent flavors, staff were super friendly and attentive. Reasonable prices and The space is very well done and clean and new. If you’re in town and like Italian food. You need to stop in here! You will be glad you did. They also have a full service bar. Well done! We will be back for sure!

I order two sausage sandwiches for take away service. I specifically requested no hot peppers, sweet peppers OK. For each sandwich, I received a lightly toasted bun containing (at most) 2 tablespoons of sausage for each sandwich. Sausage was ground type and of inferior grade. The small amount sausage was covered with slices of raw jalapeno pepper (no sweet peppers) and melted cheese. Cheese was topped with a small amount of white raw onion. A small side of satisfactory red sauce was included. A small bag of potato chips was included. This is the worst Italian sausage sandwich I have ever encountered for dining (ever). I tasted one of the sandwiches and ended up throwing both in the trash. I will not order from this establishment again – skimpy ingredients, hot peppers when specifically ordered none, inferior preparation and ingredients. This establishment needs to learn how to make a traditional sausage sandwich.

I called in a to-go order and got the veggie calzone and spinach blossoms — both were delicious! Portions were generous; I couldn’t finish it all. I’d heard people say their prices were high, but that’s just not true — everything was very fair. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Burkesville!

The menu offers a large range of items. Lasagna and chicken Alfredo were amazing! Breadsticks need a little work as they were a little tough to eat. The wine list is great with so many options. Highly recommend trying out. We will be back to try the pizza soon.

We had a great first experience at The Italian Bistro!! The meatballs appetizer was delicious, as well as our entrees. The vodka sauce on the cheese ravioli was flavorful and a fantastic combination. My husband enjoyed the chicken Alfredo pasta. Breadsticks could have been a little softer and staff could use some wine service lessons. Would also like to see a wine list with glass/bottle prices. Overall, we had an excellent meal and experience and we will be back.

We all enjoyed our supper at The Italian Bistro! Our server was friendly and attentive, the owners stopped by to chat and check on us, and our food was very good. My husband had the lasagna, kids opted for pizza (the crust was delicious) and I had an excellent chicken and gnocchi soup. Really happy our town now has this as an option!

I thought this would be a great place to eat looking at the existing reviews. I was wrong. Firstly, my husband ordered a side salad and I ordered a Cesar side salad. The wrong salads were brought out. When they got the correct salads to us we asked for a bit more dressing. The waitress looked at us like she didn’t understand and then ignored us and never brought the dressing. An hour later we finally got our food. My Alfredo tasted like it came from a jar and my husband’s spaghetti was stuck together and under cooked. He did say the meatballs were tasty. When we received the bill we were charged for the full size Cesar salad instead of the side that was ordered. Needless to say we won’t be returning. Too bad because we had high hopes for this place.

Wonderful pizza with a great crisp crust. Tried two styles and happy with both. Desserts were awesome as was the service. What a great addition to Burkesville. We will definitely be back. Give it a try and you will like it.
