Wow! This the first time visiting Skyline and I hope it’s not the last! We chose to celebrate our anniversary here and were lucky enough to be seated outside for dinner with the amazing views. The food was to die for! I ordered the seafood pasta and it was absolutely delicious, the seafood was cooked perfectly and the pasta was perfect. My husband ordered the special which was NY strip topped with a split lobster tail and butter sauce. He also raved about his meal. We both ordered cocktails, which were perfect pours! Kudos to the whole place for ambience, service, and food that blew our minds!!

Food was pretty delicious. Who knew? We went for the ambiance and grabbed delicious food too. Located on the top floor of the Curio Hotel, the restaurant provides a nice view of the small area around it. The inside bar is nice but we sat outside to grab the nice weather. My fish was so delicious and the presentation was fantastic. If you aren’t a fan of butter, maybe choose a different restaurant. Skyline is just decadent enough!

My husband and I, decided to make a reservation at the Virginian Skyline restaurant, to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was pleasant, greeted us and we were immediately seated. However, the atmosphere did not feel at all the way I expected it to (upscale, cozy, welcoming), it was extremely loud and felt like a pub.
We were seated at a table in front of the bar, which meant people backsides were in our faces, while they stood up to socialize. After a few minutes, I asked to be moved, and the hostess was nice about it, she kindly moved us to a side table.
Our waitress was ok, but I never received the caramel apple Sangria that I ordered. When I brought it to her attention, she asked if I still wanted it, I said no and she removed from the bill.
Our food order:
The appetizer, coconut shrimp were great. They were cooked fresh and served hot.
Macaroni and cheese, overly salty, would not order again.
Chicken Caesar, not good. Most of the romaine lettuce was stalks, a few brown pieces. The salad became soggy, too much cheese and dressing. It was mushy, not crisp as a salad should be.
Harvest Festival salad, my husband enjoyed it.
As it stands, I would not recommend Skyline to anyone looking for a cozy, romantic or simple dinner atmosphere. I am highly disappointed and wish that we had spent our money elsewhere, to celebrate our Anniversary. When making the reservation, there is a drop down to indicate a special event, which I selected “anniversary” but I’m not sure why because that was never acknowledged by waitstaff. Marketing suggests that it is an actual restaurant, but it seems to be a bar that offers dining.

I was met at the door and seated right away. It would have been nice to have been asked if I had a seating preference since there were numerous tables available. I ordered a bartender special: the maple old-fashioned. Care was taken not to muddle the orange rind, only the fruit. It was a good pour and with the right amount of sweetness. I ordered the special of the day, Shepherd’s pie, and was not disappointed. It was very well prepared and not over seasoned. Over all it was a good first experience. I would recommend going for drinks and relaxed enjoyable dinner.

Skyline never disappoints. The food is consistently top-tier and absolutely delicious. The filet was cooked to perfection, and the drinks are outstanding. The rooftop view adds a great touch to the experience. We’ve celebrated New Year’s here for two years in a row, and we’ll definitely be back soon!

We decided to celebrate our anniversary here and had a lovely time I thought the stuffed trout was wonderful and some of the best fish that I’ve had locally, the pork belly was a bit tough but still good and well-seasoned, 4 stars and not 5 because our server specifically asked for my ID and not my partner’s when we both ordered drinks and also neglected to remove a dessert from our tab when coming back to inform us that they had sold out. A bit more attention to detail and bedside manner would go a long way. We still had a great time regardless and fixed the mistake, no hard feelings to them, but nobody likes being the only one carded, especially on a date.

Madison was incredible, I have been to a lot of high end restaurants and I can confidently say her service was the best ive ever experienced. The speed, consideration, and thoroughness was unmatched.
I had the SkyBurger, it was incredible. I also had some other stuff, but I cant even remember because I keep thinking about my excellent server.
The ambience was top notch, and I really loved the decor, I think the cherry on top was the brief glimpses I caught of Madison’s blur as she made everyone’s experience around her go from a 8/9 to a definite 10.

Really enjoyed visiting Skyline tonight for a cocktail and dinner with a sunset view. I won’t spoil the view with a photo but I will share a view of dinner. I would say the blackened chicken Caesar salad was top tier (real anchovies on top) and a perfect portion size. Our waitress was on top of things and very friendly, bringing food out quickly for a Sunday evening. Would highly recommend for a casual to formal evening with a view. Prices seemed fair but slightly on the upper end for the area.
