My friends and I had a great time. We went during the restaurant week. The menu was excellent and they were very accommodating to dietary restrictions even within a set menu. Cozy place and you can actually have a conversation in spite of a moderate noise. We loved the “Vasquez” drink and the basque cake of all the items. The charred cauliflower was excellent as well. Excellent time, overall!

Awesome spot, sat at the bar with great service. Courses come in three rounds, which the kitchen times perfect. Each round gets better and better.

Our courses
1) cantabrian anchovies: good, easy salty starter
2) croquetas de pollo: great, cooked perfectly to that crispy texture
3) Rabbit sweet potatoe Gnochi (special): The sauce that comes with these was absolutely fantastic, meat was tender and paired perfectly with the gnochi

This is a real “hidden” gem. Very small restaurant with great food! For restaurant week we got to taste 4 courses. The Dover sole was very good, also the hamachi crudo! I had the wine pairing for 2 of the courses and it was well matched.

mfk is one of those rare spots that doesn’t seem like they try too hard—because it doesn’t have to. The bartenders run the small place with sharp knowledge and zero pretense, guiding you through food and drink like people who genuinely love both. You leave satisfied and already thinking about when you’re coming back.

Lindsey really made this a 10/10 dining experience for me! She had great recommendations and all of items were timed perfectly for me as a solo diner. My favorites were the anchovies with salted butter, shrimp gazpacho and tortilla espanola. The sangria was just strong enough and not overly sweet. They have a great wine list and I’ll try out some cocktails next time. In terms of ambiance, it’s a very small restaurant that’s perfect for a solo dinner or date night.

FIDEO JUST GO GET THE FIDEO. But seriously that was unbelievably delicious and unique. Every piece of seafood was cooked to perfection. The cream sauce was rich without being heavy. The server was very knowledgeable about the food and liquor. My partner got a martini and said it was the best one he has ever had!! I love how quaint it is. You really feel like you’re in someone’s home. I highly recommend 🙂

Good but the seafood dishes are very pricey for the amount of food.
The cauliflower is the best thing on the menu.

I was really disappointed by this restaurant. Was so excited for this for Restaurant Week – but I felt that all the dishes were a miss. The first dish was tuna crudo (did not know since we weren’t asked about the dishes on menu for Restaurant Week + didn’t ask about allergies). The spanish tortilla was fine and so was the croquettes, but the main was fish with an avocado sauce (also an allergy thatI wasn’t asked about). Mushrooms were far too salty and hard to chew. The ginger drink was really good to pair with dessert but unfortunately the basque cake was dry.

That said, the service and atmosphere was really lovely. Maybe restaurant week had not so great food items but I’m not sure I’d recommend.

We visited for a friend’s birthday, and though the restaurant is small, it’s super cozy with a welcoming vibe. They rotate their menu every few weeks, so there’s always something new to try. I loved the crispy fried eggplant, and the fresh tuna with the wrap was a great touch, almost like a taco. A great spot with delicious food and a unique atmosphere!

Great restaurant week experience. 4 courses for $60. I came here with my husband and parents. I asked about allergies before the meal and checked with the chef to confirm ingredients. Everything was seasoned very well. Great balance of salt and acid in the various courses. Cozy little space!
