I stopped by Mike’s Deli in DTLA on my way to Union Station, and I’m glad I did! While the store itself isn’t flashy at all, they do produce some extremely good sandwiches.

The girl working at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered a Mike’s Deli #1, which is essentially a spicy version of a turkey avocado sandwich. The sandwich was super fresh and bursting with flavor.

Really, every aspect of this sandwich was memorable, and the meat-to-vegetable-to-bread ratio was on point. The bread was very fluffy and nice, too.

It’s an d-school, simple deli that doesn’t stand out cosmetically, but it’s clean, welcoming, and they pump out some top-tier deli sandwiches at reasonable prices.

Stopped by after working in dtla! Glad I did I went there twice last week got the mail man which was really good but I highly recommend the pastrami on French bread with extra pickles and extra mustard. With a pack of Maui wowie cookies I left full and happy I’ll be back next week to try something else.

Mike’s Deli is an absolute hidden gem in Little Tokyo! Delicious home-style food! I got the veggie/ chicken & turkey sandwich. all fresh, flavorful, and super clean you can tell they take pride in every detail. Prices are fair, portions are great, and the staff is so kind. Mike’s Deli is a must-try!

It’s a really good deli. There’s not much more to say, but that’s a good thing. Generous portions, reasonable (for DTLA) prices, everything tastes fresh and high-quality. Great customer service.

Definitely prefer Slauson location over this one. Sandwich was good but took out stars for parking difficulty, sandwich was not loaded up like Slauson’s (added avocado and barely got some), and the not so pleasant woman taking my order. Go to the Slauson location!

Anything less than five stars for this place should be considered unacceptable or you just did not try the Big Luck! This place is almost perfect Friendly Staff, Amazing Food and Great Pricing. Only thing that would make this place perfect is if they were open 24/7 honestly speaking this place is great I got two sandwiches, two bags of chips and two drinks for $20! I’ll definitely be visiting Mike soon!

The MAILMAN delivers! Thick and juicy. Loaded with meat and cheese. This sandwich is BIG. I SHOULD have shared it, but my husband wanted his own. Definitely worth the trip to DTLA!

Delicious, packed sandwiches! Quick service too. You can also buy drinks, chips, etc. It’s all Boar’s Head brand meat so it’s excellent quality. Love this place for lunch!

Let’s see. Online – I ordered a hot New York Reuben on rye using pastrami brisket for pickup – the App said, ready in 15 minutes.

30 minutes later I got my sandwich. Tasty but not a traditional NY/LA/Chicago/Miami Jewish deli Reuben. The pastrami was made from beef round not brisket. The slices were nuked in the microwave not hot from the steamer then sliced to order. Nuked sliced meat is rubbery and chewy.

Add black olives (not listed in the sandwich ingredients) and I had a strange experience.

For this deli, I’ll stick to cold turkey or ham.
