This is a hidden gem in Carrollton. The food is authentic and amazing. The staff are always so friendly. I just love this place. You may have to plan your arrival time as the locals all know about it and it can get very busy.

First visit! They close at 4pm so we just barely made it. I ordered the Lady Jane and my wife ordered the Macbeth. Service was great! We were attended to often. We both really enjoyed our sandwiches. They were pretty messy so be prepared to use several napkins. This will become a goto place whenever we can get out early enough. This location is highly recommended!

One of my favorite places to go to with friends during my college years and surely one of the best Scottish restaurants in America! Try their different ginger ales, it’ll put some hair on your chest!

Highland Deli always has amazing food, breakfast & lunch, the only difference I have experienced was today. Whoever is making sandwiches today, please note, soup and sandwiches are great, but a soupy sandwich is not. Both myself and my friend had the same issue with different sandwiches. It’s like someone just opened a bucket of sauce and dropped our sandwiches in it. What’s normally a great sandwich is barely edible. Please please please do not ever drown another sandwich like this

Man, I LOVE this place! I’ve been coming for lunch for years but I only just did breakfast here the first time yesterday! First thing in the menu is the “breakfast salad thing”. This is a heaping delightful mess of vegetables and mushrooms and eggs with the delis “secret sauce” a piquant creamy tangy perfect compliment to the dish! I’m diabetic and therefore avoiding carbs so instead of bread/toast I got a cup of the soup of the day which is a dill pickle chedddar soup that is greater than the sum of its parts!
Looking at some others plates imma say everything on the menus is slammin! Breakfast before 10:30 and an incredible lunch selection there on! Go get it!

My wife and I were just traveling through and stopped to visit some family for the night and decided on Highland for breakfast.
I’m only disappointed they don’t have the option for 6 stars! What a treat, everything we had was phenomenal, wife had the breakfast “salad” thing and I enjoyed an omelet. WOW!

This is a favorite for breakfast and lunch: Monday-Friday only. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ordered here at the Highland Delhi. Homemade scones baked by Sarah.

We’re from Huntsville and stayed at a nearby hotel last night. We wanted to try one of the mom and pop places in town for breakfast. Upon ordering, paying and tipping, we asked for the food to-go. We went and bought coffee at another mom and pop place and came back to pick up our order. Nobody told us prior that there are waitresses. No hostess stand and the couple who ordered after us was now eating at a table.

We picked our food up and realized it’ll be hard on our 3 hour drive for our toddler to eat her breakfast in the car so we sat at an outside table. Immediately, an employee or owner came running out saying we can’t sit there because that’s how waitresses earn their living. She said we can sit on the bench or one of two tables in her section (?). There was one table taken out of seven outside. All 15-20 were empty inside the main restaurant. It’s a Monday morning at 10:30am. I managed multiple locations and my family owned a restaurant. We tipped at the register and NOBODY indicated there are waitresses. I definitely think there was a much better way to handle the situation instead of making us move to a bench. Ironically, a few minutes later, employees came out and sat at the same table and ate. The same “waitresses” or cashiers we just tipped for to-go food.

I never assume things happen because we’re a lesbian couple but I literally can’t figure any other reason that you tell PAYING and TIPPING customers that they can’t sit in certain areas, especially when it’s EMPTY. Here is my 3 yr old eating on the bench wondering why we were kicked off the table but other people, including employees, can sit there.

This place is probably a hands down , must see for someone visiting and a frequent spot for locals. The food is amazing, the staff is patient , helpful, knowledgeable, and passionate about the craft. 5 stars every time without fail.

The only thing I would ask is that they were open more and for longer! =]

Best lunch spot on the square, and fairly priced. Better quality than big sandwich chains and for easily comparable cost.
