Very welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant /bar, friendly attentive knowledgeable staff, shot out to Tony and Tegan behind the bar,we were singing together as soon as I sat down. Which was very cool. Food came out fast, I got to try the butter nut squash soup, very good, it warms up your soul… In house buttered cod filet with fries and coleslaw was tasty just needed little salt. Couldn’t finish it all so I will have another tasty meal for later. Check it out and enjoy yourself at the Tavern, bring your little ones

We paid $20/person for just the food & got what can only be described as dollar menu items at Burger King & that would have been an improvement.
I have never been here but heard good things about it, so decided to go check it out! Never again.
Right off the bat I received the wrong Carbliss & they only have three options; Lemon, Cranberry, & Black Raspberry. Didn’t help that the one I received was one of the flavors I really don’t like.
Our server was super sweet, but didn’t seem to know the 10 item menu, and was really quiet so we couldn’t hear her, even though there were only 5-6 other tables in the entire establishment.
Very limited menu, which I can understand when attached to a hotel with other restaurants, but if you’re going to do a limited menu it better be on point. This was not even close.
The app came out at the same time as our food, which isn’t a huge deal. The batter was decent, but really soggy due to the size of the pickle & how wet it was.
I got the Mac Attack burger with sweet potato fries, which on the menu sounds like a decent sized burger with everything that should come on it. Nope. 1 super crunchy piece of bacon, 2 – 1/8lb patties, which were burnt, that together were thinner than the slice of tomato that covered only half of the burger, 2-1×1″ pieces of lettuce, a dot of sauce, & maybe 5 minced pieces of onions. The sweet potato fries had no seasoning & burnt edges.
Husband had the basic burger & it wasn’t any better. The saving grace, which we’re literally grasping at fries here… was his fries. Perfectly seasoned & fried.
I left food & a near full drink at the table and with a burnt grease taste in my mouth.
I don’t like to leave negative reviews, this is my second & I let it sit for a few days deciding “should I post it?” What won me over was the thought of other people going here expecting good food & getting crap.

The service was sooo bad, had 3 servers walk by us telling us someone will be right with us. The food took a long time to come out, we ordered nachos for an appetizer. The nachos came out with the main dish and they were cold and stale when they arrived. Our burgers and fries came out smelling like fish. When was the last time they cleaned their fryer? Overall the experience was terrible, would not recommend the restaurant. Update we both got food poisoning…

My family & I waited over 45 minutes for appetizers & 1 kids chicken strip meal. We were in between hockey games for my son’s tournament & finally got up to ask that the order be cancelled because we were out of time. They ended up boxing up the items for us since they had just completed making it & were bringing the food while we were searching for our waiter. We were charged full price without even so much as a “sorry we know it took too long”. Other families near us ordered, received their food, ate & were able to pay their bill all while we sat & sat so the excuse we received about people not showing up for their shifts landed wrong. We got to the car & realized the food wasn’t even correct after all that! We were billed for an adult chicken strips meal instead of kids & received an order of boneless wings (supposedly Garlic Parmesan) that were basically unseasoned chicken nuggets because they forgot to add any sauce. I would not recommend or return. Not to mention that I tried to call 3 different times and was never able to reach them by phone.

yea….so what people are saying here is true except that service was pretty decent to me, and didn’t wait long for food or a drink. But the food sucks. Menu is so small…. I got some wings and I had to give it back. Customer service was good and they have a great beer selection!

We entered at 7 pm, ordered by 7:20, it’s 9:15 and our food still hasn’t arrived yet. The restaurant is not full.

The garden salad and the chicken quesadilla were delicious! Also, the chicken tenders and fries were great! The server was continually hurrying me and did not even offer a to go box. Nice outside patio seating!

Quick stop for an appetizer- nachos are awful and the kids chicken was good but the French fries had so much salt you couldn’t eat them. The best part of the restaurant was the staff

The waitresses were alright. The food wasn’t bad but not worth the cost. One thing we ordered were their classic nachos. The jalapeños looked like they’d been sitting out for days. They had minimal melted shredded cheese that had already hardened. Salsa tasted & looked like it came out of a jar. And there’s a whole nacho section on their menu… But it’s the only restaurant open at the Canad Inn hotel right now so there’s that.
