Despite only being run by a husband and wife duo, the service is on point, and Chef Wataru shows immense attention and care to both the customer’s experience and to the detail of each individual course.
The ambience is very comfortable, and the portion sizes are extremely satisfying. Come here with an empty stomach!!
While the omakase price may seem higher than others, we fully believe the number of courses, portion size, and beautifully crafted + delicious courses are fully worth it.
Will come back for the next special occasion!
However, it didn’t go uphill as omakase usually do where next nigiri tastes even better, towards the second half of course some nigiri feels unbalanced, or even too salty because of overpowering source, hand roll is one of them.. desert didn’t wow me unfortunately.
Overall good experience but I was really hoping it could be beyond just good.
I worked for Sony for 20 years and dined at some of the best sushi spots in the US and Japan.
This is the best I’ve ever had!
For ~$200 pp, I expect a bit more creative dishes and better dessert.
Everything feels very intimate and more like you’re eating dinner at a friend’s very nice home. Assuming of course, that your friend also had access to some of the best fish available.
Highly recommend, will come back.
