This is my spot! Been coming here for awhile. I switch it up, but this spot is always first on the list. A perfect neighborhood gem. The food is fire and the kitchen is open late! Happy hour is one of the best and the staff is always on point. Brunch is a great chill spot too.

So im a regular late night bar eater/ drinker. I’ve been to many late night joints grabbing food and a drink sitting at the bar. Taste & Thirst was top notch from the moment I walked up to the doors late on Sunday evening. From the front door staff and waitress to the burger and the cold beer it was great. But the real green here was the amazing gal running the bar, as far as bar tenders go she was one of the top. Super friendly, even for me as a stranger, attentive great attitude and you could tell from how many regulars where their and how they interacted with her that she was just genuinely a cool person. If i lived here in San Diego this would definitely be on of my regular spots. And if i ever make it back here I’ll absolutely be stopping in. Thanks for the great experience!

Well for the 3rd day in a row, I find myself here at Taste and Thirst. Like Toby Kieth says, “I love this bar”! The drinks are 50% off during happy hours. The wings are delicious. What I love most about this bar is the exceptional service. Bartender Stephany is a perfectionist! She provides excellent service and won’t give you a drink if it isn’t made right. Amazing! Would recommend this bar to all. ESPECIALLY during happy hour!

I’m really disappointed with my experience at taste of thirst in San Diego. As a long-time customer, I’ve spent a lot of money here, but yesterday was my last visit.
I was treated poorly by a bartender named Stephnie. I was simply drinking water and charging my phone while deciding what to order, and she embarrassed me for not ordering right away. It felt like I was being judged for not buying something immediately, which was really frustrating.
Some of the bartenders have been nice, but others have given me side-eye and made me feel unwelcome. I shouldn’t have to feel uncomfortable in a place I used to enjoy. I won’t be coming back.

My close friend Sticky Rich recommended this place and I’m grateful that he did! My girl and I live down the street and needed a safe place to chill while we did LAUNDRY at the 4th Avenue Laundromat across the street. Great place to chill. Has a full bar on the other side; that’s for another review. Wing s were FIRE . Lemon Pepper Fries we’re even better. Most of all, Taste and Thirst had PRIME LOCATION IN GASLAMP and location is everything.

Staff are fantastic, friendly & helpful. Lots of sport on and chilled atmosphere. Our food was lovely and the bill was a pleasant surprise, great value.
