The lady at the front counter was nice.. food was not good. Very overpriced. I had their specialty sandwich.. with pastrami in corned beef.. corned beef was very dry.. I literally had like 3 teaspoons of chopped up corned beef. The bread tasted like it came from Kroger’s. The menu said $13 online I get there they want $20 for the sandwich. Restaurant looked dark and dingy… Almost like a bar. I can buy sandwiches for $12 bigger than the sandwich that they gave me for $20. They giving will be closing soon for good… If you dont , Take notice of your reviews and change you ways!

The space is so small I almost missed it. I was doing a door dash and needed lunch. Walking in it reminds you of walking into a NY Deli. I talked to the owner. She is super nice and super knowledgeable in her products. She gave me free tastes of her soups(one reminded me of matzah ball soup)and pasta salad. I ordered a corned beef sandwich. When I bit into the sandwich, it reminded me of grandma’s. Not too fatty and salty. I’m used to kosher deli’s. This place is in my top 3 places to go for corned beef. Deon, who made my lunch, sells XS energy in the store. I haven’t seen this in forever. I had to buy one. It was just as good as I thought it would be. Go there! Tell them Star said Hi! You won’t regret it!

Queens bagel 10/10. Great service and atmosphere. Lots of choices on the menu. Perfect example of why you should patron the small businesses. You won’t get this service or quality of food in a box store. Highly recommend.

I visited this deli on 11.14.2024 after 5 years from my initial visit and I’m glad I gave them another chance. I had a wonderful experience, Sandy and the staff were very friendly. I received a very personable experience and sampled several items including chili, pasta salad, and potatoe salad. I purchased the Sy Special as I did in 2019, this time however I got it NY style with extra meat. The Sy Special was fresh, hot, and delicious. I most certainly will return.
I tried this spot today 1.7.19 for the first time, I had the sy special(corned beef and pastrami) on an onion roll with regular mustard and not the spicy mustard. The sandwich overall was decent, there was a good amount of meat however I did feel that the sandwich was over priced slightly. The regular corned beef sandwich I got for my son was lacking in the meat department in my opinion there was a NY option which gives you a half pound of meat for a significant increase in price. Decent deli, however not overwhelming great.

I visited this restaurant about a week ago after my dentist appointment and was extremely satisfied with my food and service. Sandy was so kind, she took my order personally, explained the hours in detail and gave me free samples to try other options they offered! I will definitely be back when they reopen for the new year.

I had the Sy Special with corned beef, pastrami and spicy mustard. Delicious. Others in my group had the Corned beef with a cole slaw side. Chips and drinks are available. The meat was sliced thin and was a nice portion. Marble rye was toasted to perfection.

I’ve lived in Livonia for years and never tried this spot until today. I got a NY size reuben with corned beef and pastrami as well as a cuban normal size. Both were excellent. I am very familiar with cubans as ive sampled quite a few in tampa and little havana in miami. While this isnt the best one ive ever had its actually not far from it and right here in Livonia. The reuben was something special and the kraut they use can cut through and shine. Top notch! Would certainly order both again.

Embarrassed to admit that I just discovered this little gem 8 days ago and have ordered from here 6 of the last 8 days!
Everything is made fresh in house, even the condiments! Fantastic sandwiches and the soups are amazing too. Specially the cream of mushroom. The “younglady” that runs the restaurant couldn’t be more pleasant and has a lot of pride in her establishment.
Looking forward to working my way thru the menu!

Righteous One
The woman who runs the Shop in the afternoon is wonderful and amazing and kind, made my food fast, and the food was utterly mouthwatering. I ordered the Cuban with Chili and a Ginger Ale… Best food I’ve had in years. I was working the Livonia Spree and it was nice to have such an amazing place within walking distance… truly a place worth eating at… and at a very good price… only $18-$20 for my order…
