The hibachi beef was good and so were the pan fried dumplings. The fish portions on the sashimi were really small compared to other places. The service started off good and then we sat waiting for 10 minutes for our server to come take our order. 2 other groups that arrived after us had their orders taken before our server came back to our table. Unfortunately, poor service is a deal breaker for me.

I recently had the chance to enjoy a meal of sushi rolls paired with a Flying IPA, and the experience was memorable from start to finish. The sushi rolls were fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented. Each bite carried a balance of flavor—delicate fish, crisp vegetables, and perfectly seasoned rice that held together without being too heavy. Standout rolls included the spicy tuna, which had just the right amount of heat, and a signature roll topped with avocado that added a creamy richness. The attention to detail in the preparation was clear, and it made every roll feel thoughtfully crafted rather than rushed.

Pairing the sushi with a Flying IPA turned out to be a great choice. The beer had a crisp, citrusy bitterness that cut through the richness of the fish and complemented the spice of certain rolls. It created a refreshing contrast that elevated the entire meal.

Service was another highlight. Staff were attentive without being intrusive, quick to recommend pairings, and always checked in to make sure everything was to our liking. Plates were cleared promptly, and drinks were refreshed right when needed. Overall, the combination of excellent food, a well-chosen beer, and genuine service made the experience outstanding.

My husband and I went for an impromptu date night. We happen to choose this on a whim and we were not disappointed. The dining area is small so you better get in and get a table while you can but the food is delicious and amazing and the service is great as well. We had plenty to choose from and our waitress was very knowledgeable about the different sushi rolls. We had a great time and will be returning.

The waitress is always amazing when we go there. The food is good hibachi, though the miso is not great. I dont eat sushi, but the other customers seem to love it. Price is more than reasonable for the food and service.

Decent food and good menu selection…
However, wait times can be absolutely ridiculous!! I’ve actually wrote this while sitting in the drive thru.

Placed an order online and it stated order would be 25mins; we sat at the pickup window for OVER AN HOUR… Even turned the car off, because it is outrageous. The place is NOT that busy, especially considering we ordered 3items. This has happened and even worse over 10 times- very dissatisfied in the pure wait time and accommodation. Didn’t even talk to us or discuss the wait, no apologies or anything to remedy the issue.

Not to mention the limited operating hours, inconsistency in service and overall comparison to other Japanese and sushi spots in town- this is NOT our go to. Highly recommend trying it and to give it your own feedback. Cannot say anything too bad, but the cons out way the positives.

I waited to write this review because I hate giving local businesses bad reviews- but… It never changes here, sadly.

I’ve lived had sushi in almost every state in the country and am a sushi connoisseur – it’s my absolute favorite! That being said – THIS PLACE TUCKED AWAY IN OWASSO, OK is surprisingly the most incredible sushi place I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying to date! I’m blown away every time we’re there – Service is top notch, options are incredible and creative, staples are there but different and PHENOMENAL options as well, and the prices are spot on. We love love love this place and anytime we have friends or family visiting, Hapa is the first place we take them! Thank for offering the Owasso community such a fantastic sushi experience!

Sushi was great! Even as a to-go order. We also accidentally left our card there and called after they closed. They still answered and waited for us to pick it up. So kind and went above and beyond to make sure we got it back!
The Green Day roll is a must have!

This was my family’s first experience with authentic Japanese food, so we weren’t really sure what to expect. Our server, Kat, was well educated on their menu and flavors, asked intelligent questions about our likes/dislikes, and made really good suggestions on things we might like. It was all good and very flavorful, but the Pokémon roll and the Hapa Chicken stood out head and shoulders above the rest. Very flavorful! Service was excellent. Highly recommend!!

My most favorite sushi place in NE Oklahoma! Wide variety of delicious rolls with both standard and unique combinations. There are also many delicious options for people who do not want sushi. My daughter loves the pork tonkatsu and my husband loves their curry.

Just ate here with my wife for the first time. I had the crab Rangoon appetizer and my wife had the veggie spring rolls. Both very good. The veggie spring rolls were fried instead of steamed which we find preferable. For sushi rolls, my wife had the Green Day which she enjoyed with the fried green beans on top of the roll and the sauce it came on was very good. I had the full metal alchemist and Godzilla roll. I did enjoy the full metal alchemist slightly more just because I prefer salmon over tuna but it was my first time trying a fried sushi roll and I had the full metal alchemist first and was like I’ve got to have another so I got the Godzilla. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful, didn’t make us feel rushed. The greeter was also very prompt and friendly. Not a lot of seating, we got there right when they opened and were there just under an hour and it was full, and I see why. Over all we spent just under $60 for 3 rolls, 2 sodas, 2 apps and a dessert. Very reasonably priced and great service
