Let me start with the negative first. This place is very old and dirty. There is like one fly per sq ft. Table and chairs are sticky and moldy looking. I don’t know how it pass health code. So do not dine in.
Lets talk about the food. Chicken and tacos are great. Tacos are fully loaded for $3. Good size too, not the little ones from taco trucks. I know they smoke their chicken outside because you can see the smoke. Chicken is flavorful and marinated well. If white meat is too dry for you then you can dip it in the salsa. Sides like rice and beans are great too. Better than a lot of restaurants out there.
Next time I just get it to go and eat at the park. It is too dirty to sit there with flies and mold.

My favorite Smoked Chicken they use Royal Oak Lump Charcoal like the other place down the street. Big difference never run outta Chicken 18 bucks out the door Whole Smoked Chicken Beans Rice n Hot Tortillas. All dinners ready now in a hot box Filled many times per day. Just look for the Smoke rolling onto Dix for over a decade now. I we spent 25 bucks dinner for 3 Whole Smoked Chicken Beans Rice Tortillas Steak Quesadilla n Flan for Dessert. If you’re hungry for a good home-cooked bbq (grilled) meal then you have to stop here. Its a non-descript place. I don’t even recall a sign being out in front. However, you’re at the right place when you see the smoke coming from the grill withthe best aroma. Very simple menu. Whole or half chicken dinners with rice & beans & a few other items. It was great. Couldn’t eat all the meal in one sitting…it was so much. Definitely try when in the area!

Wood fired mesquite grilled chicken southwest style! Pickled onion is a nice twist to replace the standard jalapeno. Great heat on the pickled onion, red sauce good and standard. Rice also good, beans are cowboy style good flavor. Nice change from the usual smashed refried at most other places. I got chicken but they offer meat options. Very authentic, with reasonable prices. Good service..

I recently found a fantastic mexican eatery that’s perfect for a quick bite . While the food was delicious, I did find it a bit on the salty side, which isn’t my personal preference.
