For nearly two decades, TANGO restaurant & lounge was one of Capitol Hill’s most beloved spots. Opened in 2000 and known for its Spanish-inspired menus and drinks, it was a place people came for date nights, celebrations, or just to soak in the warm, intimate vibe as an escape from the city. This fall, we are opening bar tango at 422 E Pine Street, bringing elements of the Seattle icon back to life with nods to the past. bar tango will have many of the favorite Tango classics with more focus on the bar and tapas.
Innovative tapas & Spanish meals at this eatery known for its chocolate-cayenne-tequila dessert.

Food came out fast after ordering it, but service was so slow that I think the sloths from the movie Zootopia would’ve done a better job. Also they kept forgetting our drinks, to come back with the menu, etc.
They forgot our drinks. And one of our drinks orders was incorrect. It took about 20 minutes to fix the drink order when there was no more than 6 customers in the restaurant.
They have a 20% service fee, so we did not feel another tip was necessary… Nor do I think I would’ve tipped over 15% for this level of service.
We give 3 stars because the food was good, but we left a bit irritated.
However, the portions are on the small side, the prices are not. Worst of all, there’s a 20% charge added to every bill (yes, even if you eat alone).
