I had the pleasure of visiting Solaia for the first time for a Christmas party with the Sullivan County Partnership, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays warm, festive, and inviting.

The food was excellent, thoughtfully prepared, and absolutely delicious. Everything from the atmosphere to the service made the evening feel special. It was the perfect setting for a holiday gathering, and I’m so glad my first visit was during such a lovely event.

I look forward to returning and highly recommend Solaia to anyone looking for a great dining experience in the area.

What can I say… I never expected epicurean excellence on route 42 in Monticello New York.
The delicious Veal Picatta was amazing, the Sea Scallops were from Cape Cos and Mesmer superb with an amazing sweet and tangy sauce. However the Chilean Sea Bass was the pies de resistance I mean its was a heavenly melange os Lemon zest that melted like butter wow. Cute place too sit by the fireplace they have a mixologist serving up espresso Martinis.

For starters the food was phenomenal. Pasta was cooked just right, veal was top notch and the chicken leaves a wonderful and savory flavor that’ll make you rethink how you cook your chicken. The drinks were very tasty. The chocolate martini and brandy alexander on the rocks were great! The service was very quick and each server was pleasant. Definitely looking forward to another night of dinner at Solaia.

P.s. get the créme brulee my girlfriend loved it!

This is our first visit. The atmosphere immediately calmed me. The lighting is private in character. The service is kind, respectful and knowledgeable. Wonderful. The food is very different to me, but well worth it.

This evening we enjoyed a fantastic dinner the place was packed and the wait was a bit longer than expected and the staff were extremely friendly and the food was excellent as well as the dessert if you are in the area I highly recommend eating here I promise you will not be disappointed and the prices are very reasonable

What a hidden gem! Service was personal and attentive without being intrusive. Artichoke appetizer was the best I’ve ever had. Pollo Martini was delicious. Even the broccoli was blast above average. Coconut gelato made a perfect ending. This one is worth a drive for the experience. A memorable experience to be sure.

We had the absolute best dinner at Soliana. The owner, son and chef all showed an amazing passion for providing a top notch customer dining experience, with perfectly mixed martinis, and exquisitely prepared dishes. No one rushed us and our courses were served with time to enjoy our cocktails and salads before the main entrees. Only regret is that we dont live close enough to come to Soliana every week – it is that good in all the areas that make a great difference experience.

Tonight was my 7th wedding anniversary.
I made a reservation at 7:00. Some plans fell through so I called and moved the reservation up to six. They were completely friendly and happy to help.
The food was amazing. The atmosphere was great. The drinks were really good. Service was spectacular.
The service staff operated like a well-oiled family machine. It could not have been better.

The food was a complete 10 out of 10. Everything was beyond my expectations and to cap off the evening of beautiful chocolate souffle which was perfectly done.
If I could give this place 10 stars I would.
Worth every single penny I spent there.
My wife and I go out to eat quite often and this was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had.

Solaia was a pleasant surprise for me on my husband’s birthday last week. He chose this restaurant as his preferred location for his birthday dinner and it was a great choice. The service from the moment we were trying to find the right door to enter through bc it was raining to the moment we received our check it was hand and foot. I appreciated that bc the level and attention to detail of service usually predicates how the rest of the night goes.

Calamari Fritti. 10/10 Simple dish executed very well and you can tell the Calamari was fresh. The squeeze of the lemon wedge on top absolutely took it up a notch. Great appetizer. The spicy tomato sauce that pairs with this is EXCELLENT.

Endive Gorgonzola Insalata. 8/10 I appreciated this salad bc of my time in Belgium when I played professional basketball. The endive is bitter, the Gorgonzola is sour and fatty, the balsamic glaze was sweet as well as the walnuts that added to the texture. My only criticism was I needed another soft delicate lettuce (butter crisp maybe) to compliment the endives and that would’ve made this a 10/10 for me.

Roasted Artichoke Hearts. 10/10 First time really having authentic Italian Artichoke Hearts and I WANT MORE. The way they fanned out the hearts at the end was so aesthetically pleasing. The garlic and oil was robust but it was so good. The stems were more hardier than the delicate tender leaves. I’ve been thinking about this dish since we left.

Mushroom Risotto w Jumbo Shrimp. 10/10 My goodness the mushroom flavor was STRONG and I’m convinced now that I pondered on it a for a few days that they used dried mushrooms and rehydrated them. The rice was perfect Al Dente. I can come back just for this and a glass of wine. Shrimp were so fresh.

Salmon Dish. My husband got the Salmon Pasta dish that he ate with no complaints. I did not taste it like I normally do but next time.

This was a great meal and I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Ordered take out. The Frutti da Mari was very bland. The crab cakes were mushy like they were filled with bread. The veal scallopini was like paper. We were really disappointed given the high ratings. While we didn’t eat in the restaurant it looked nice and everyone was very friendly.
