A legendary bar. I attended a nearby tradeshow and stumbled into Clancy’s while exploring Long Beach during some free time. Within a few hours I had met a whole cast of local characters, everyone was friendly and interesting. I ended up stopping by each day during the rest of my trip. These guys pour a great pint of Guinness and have a bunch of regular activities going on like karaoke and comedy nights. The circular bar is perfect for conversation or just kicking back with a beer. I would recommend Clancy’s over any of the more pretentious tourist traps nearby on Pine. Thanks to Mark, Marissa, Erik, Donny, Johnny, Juan, Piko, and especially my friend Doug for making me feel so welcome.

Definately a local “dive” bar that caters pretty much residents of the downtown area during the week days. Weekends (and especially Grand Prix weekend) however, seem to attract a mixed crowd from around the city.
The bar is fairly small in size making some shots tight on the one pool table in the house. There is ample seating… are a couple booths, tables with bar chairs, seating around the bar top as well as an outdoor patio area.
Friday night is karaoke.
I have not tried the food as the kitchen closes around dark.

Great bar. Service is always good (get orders correct). Cool spot for LB locals (to avoid the downtown Pine strip mess). BBQ cheeseburger was good (w/ great straw fries). Clam chowder was pasty/plain/boring. Karaoke nights are usually always fun. Cozy dive bar feel. Recommend to visit.

Came here after an event in downtown Long Beach. Perfect Irish dive bar – ice-cold Guinness on tap, Jameson Irish Whiskey, and other top-shelf whiskeys and scotches available. An awesome bartender served me and the others. Good music system going on. Just went in for drinks and liked the drinks and vibe. Will be back.

Man oh man, old Clankys never disappoints! And somehow it stayed a kinda divy bar while making the food so good!
