I call this restaurant 2-3 times a week when they first open and order chicken tacos and steak tacos. Best I’ve had in Sanford and better than the “award winning” Mexican restaurants. I promise. Everything is authentic and good

Absolutely a hidden gem. Small spot with a real hole-in-the-wall feel but the food is incredible. The tacos were some of the best I’ve had in a long time, super fresh and packed with flavor. The soup was legit comfort food, rich and homemade. Fast service, great prices, and authentic all around. Definitely coming back.

This is a little gem tucked away in an unassuming facade. Don’t let the exterior fool you. The restaurant is clean and inviting with a small diner feel. The service is great, and the food is the closest you’ll get to authentic Mexican around. We had the hurache and torte with horchata and atole de elotes. We were also served sopa de fideos. Everything was incredibly tasty. If you are looking for authentic Mexican, then look no further!

GREAT AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD!
My only critique is for the owner. Hire at least one more waitress. At least hire one more waitress to work during peak hours.

We ALMOST decided to go elsewhere because the outside is very unassuming/not indicative of a nice restaurant. However the food was very good! Tasted very authentic and lemme tell you, they have some POTENT jalapeños!

The food here is very good here. I love the atmosphere and the music. Kid friendly and adult friendly. Only thing is the table was kind of dirty when I walked in but we cleaned it up

Hidden in a small plaza off the main streets in Sanford is this little Mexican Restaurant. My husband and I were unsure what to expect but so glad we gave it a try. It’s very clean, kind staff and all the food was delicious. We especially loved that the tacos were served crisp with slight softness and not in a mushy, sticky microwaved or foil wrapped manner. Needless to say, we left with some churros to-go and full stomachs till tomorrow’s breakfast. This restaurant will be visited again when we’re in the Sanford area.

Wow! Best authentic food we’ve had in our years of living in NC. Carnitas were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The sopes, pastor and chorizo, were absolutely delicious! Our server was polite and cheerful and everso accommodating. This will be worth the 50min drive to return, many times!!!

The food is amazing, more authentic than any other ‘Mexican’ restaurant. They have soups on the weekends like caldo de res and pozole which are amazing! Highly recommend! It is a hole in the wall and not like a regular restaurant, kinda small but again, service and food are worth it!
