Atmosphere was cozy but dark. I had to use my flashlight on my phone to see the menu. Waitress Patti was fabulous. I felt my portion of fish was on the small side, more like fish bite. But everything was tasty.

Very disappointed! It was my birthday last night and I wanted baked stuffed shrimp, which is what I had… totally bland, no flavor and the crab stuffing? Could not find any crab in it… we started with fried calamari, which were thick rings that you could not even chew, and we sent that back… my boyfriend got the seafood crepes and said the shrimp were like rubber, he didn’t even eat 1/2 and the waitress said are you done? And took it away…not even asking him if there was a problem with it, or did he want a to go box? I ate two of my bland shrimp and took it to go cause didn’t want my boyfriend to feel bad, but I won’t be eating it. The twice baked potato in theory should be good, but it was dry, dry, dry. Also, the other waitress told another customer all about the specials, our waitress didn’t say anything about specials… all and all, was a terrible meal especially for my birthday… I will not be going back….

The food, service and atmosphere was wonderful. We started with crab cake meal with shrimp cocktails and oysters for our appetizers. Then we each chose a meal. I chose grilled scallops with salad and baked potato. They melted in my mouth. My son in law chose the mustard salmon with clam chowder and rice. My daughter chose seafood crepes with salad and fresh green beans. All meals very good. Finished with crème brûlée and Italian lemon cream cake. Waitress was very attentive, did not have to ask for anything. Even owner was very nice asking how things were. It was great. Cost very reasonable for what we ordered. Definitely go there again.

I absolutely love everything about Elmo’s! They offer delicious food at a great value, excellent cocktails, exceptional staff, and a beautiful, comfortable interior that makes you feel like you’re relaxing by the beach. My favorite appetizers are the shrimp cocktail and fresh oysters, and my go-to entrée is the Surf and Turf. Their bread is also amazing! Restaurants like this are a rare find—everything is made from scratch, and it’s clear they use high-quality ingredients. Plus, it’s family-owned and operated, and they do a wonderful job making you feel like you’re part of the family. It’s definitely one of my favorite places to eat at!

They have GLUTEN FREE options! Their gluten free penne pasta is delicious substituted in all their pasta dishes! I ordered this chicken sandwich (for take out) on a gluten free roll and it was really, really good! The roll didn’t have any off taste and it didn’t fall apart. The chicken was so tender. They also have gluten free wraps. All in all, a good place to go to if you cannot have gluten.

I was craving fried oysters, they were wonderful!! Like fried oysters on the half shell but fried, heaven!! NOT like the fried oysters I got at Crab Catcher on Middle Turnpike West in Manchester, TERRIBLE!! TOTAL RIP OFF!!, and I went for the appetizer comes with Low Country Sauce, Charleston, SC inspired. I then had the fried whole belly clam appetizer and the Muscles swimming in garlic butter broth. All very good, although, the muscles seemed a little under cooked, but still delicious, other than the 2 very under cooked. The coleslaw was top shelf and the bread with whipped butter, perfect, and great for dipping in the garlic butter broth. The service was outstanding, I got there at 3:00 and I was the only one in my dining area (filled up quickly). A legitimate well earned 5 stars.

Food was great, service was spectacular and the price was reasonable. We had the atuffed mushrooms, not bad at all. My wife had lobster. A little pricey but hey we are 60 miles from the shore. I had the dockside platter. This was very good. We met Robert, Elmo’s son. Really nice guy he’s been in the business for years. Our waitress Sherry was wonderful, very attentive.

Calamari appetizer was perfect! I was afraid it would be rubbery, but it melted in my mouth. Same for the Cioppino. Everything, including the scrod, was perfect. Service was a little slow at first, but once the waitress got to us, she was very attentive. Everyone else in my party was pleased with their meal. This place can be hit or miss, but they knocked it out of the park tonight.
