Love this Wendy’s location! The people working the Drive Thru Window are always so friendly, happy, kind, & upbeat! I will literally drive out of my way just to order food from this restaurant. (And the times when we’ve had our young (3yo) Grandson in the car with us they always take a moment & make the effort to say hello, or to or engage with him a bit.)

Today was no different when I stopped in for a coke around 4:15. After I left the restaurant & pulled out onto the Hwy I couldn’t find my Credit Card & returned to the drive thru menu to ask if I left it there. I was informed that hadn’t, so I pulled out of the Drive Thru line, parked across from the Drive Thru window, & began searching my car. Unable to find it, I got out to look under the seats & was relieved to find it between the Driver’s seat & the center console. As I began to get back into my car the Drive Thru staff both asked in unison if I had found it. I held it up with a smile & said “I did! Thank you!”.

As I was pulling back onto the Highway I smiled & thought “THIS is why I am willing to drive out of my way to come to this restaurant”.
(Well, that & the food is so much better at Wendy’s than anywhere else!)

Traveling from Virginia to OBX we stopped at this Wendy’s location for a quick bite. We ordered through the digital kiosk located inside the store without issue. Our food was ready moments later and everything was hot and fresh and clearly had been made to order. We chose to sit in a booth by the door and started eating. While looking around we couldn’t help but notice how CLEAN this restaurant was. I’m talking down to the smallest details. The place was immaculate. It is no surprise they scored a 100% on their health inspection which they proudly hang on the wall for others to see. Hands down I’ve never been in a restaurant this clean. From hot food, quick service, and cleanliness these folks need a raise and praise!! Thank you for everything you do.

I went with my wife around 3-4pm it was busy and the food was the freshest I’ve tasted in a while from a Wendy’s as my usual one is in Great Bridge which is always horrible so I’ve disliked Wendy’s but I got two fresh triple burger with fresh fries for the first time at a random Wendy’s

As I was eating my biscuit, I found a fuzzy hair popping out that looked like from a sweater or dog. I figured it was from my jacket but as soon as my Mother found a fuzzy hair in her biscuit too, I opened my bun and those hairs were layered on top of the meat. Usually we had no problems until today. I will not be returning. Look at the pictures closely.

Half the time when I go to get something at night between 8-11PM they want to close early!!! It’s ridiculous! The food isn’t bad but why the heck are you gonna close early when your supposed to be open till midnight or 1AM??

An hour and a half here, mostly because their air conditioning was working and I needed to take one more work meeting today before I could be done with my day. This was mostly clean, mostly quiet and very comfortable.

I grabbed a seat, placed my order on the Wendy’s app, and got my laptop plugged in. A few minutes later, I was filling my sugar free lemonade and then biting into a Junior Cheeseburger Deluxe.

Some tables needed cleaning and the floor needed a sweep. As well, the men’s room needed a mop. Otherwise, a good experience this afternoon.

I rarely get fast food anymore but was on the road and hungry. I can say this was the best fast food burger! My food was hot, the restaurant was very clean and ordering was fast and convenient.

We have used this location a few times as it is close to us. The food was hot and ready fast. We used the mobile app to order. My only complaint is that for some reason, our cheeseburgers tasted and looked like someone emptied a butt load of salt and pepper on them, and even though we wiped it of the taste was still there. It was so thick it looked like a paste. I ordered my fries with no salt, but all of our fries came with lots of salt. I can’t have the extra added salt for health reasons. I ended up not being able to eat dinner. I would have taken it back, but we were headed out of town, so we grabbed it as we hit the road. Yes, I know fast food has salt and just about all food does, but it is the added salt that gets me. I don’t eat fast food much!

Five stars, all having purpose. 3 for the services rendered (in this case food), 1 for the facilities (is it welcoming), and 1 for the service itself (the people). This Wendy’s specifically loses 1 star because my food was not made well. The salad we ordered was subpar with very little green lettuce, and the container was less than half full. This Wendy’s loses another star because upon walking into the facility, it wasn’t welcoming. I’m sure that’s because they didn’t expect guests into the dining area, but there should still be at least an expected standard. The last star this Wendy’s loses, and the biggest reason I’m writing this review, is because the manager was less than pleasant.

Explanation of the manager:

Upon arriving to get my salad replaced, a very nice employee met me at the door, and agreed that the salad was not up to standard. At that time she tells the manager what’s wrong, and that I also wanted to pay for another sandwich. This was when the manager tells the employee to invite me in.

As I get to the counter, and before assisting me, the manager scolds the employee for going to the door to assist me. When I inform the manager that the salad was less than expected she was not happy and insisted that “All Wendy’s Salads look like that.” So I then request a new different salad instead of the same one I ordered. The picture I have included with this is the standard I would expect to pay $7.19. I regrettably do not have a picture of the original salad.

So because of the initial Salad Quality I only give this Wendy’s 2 stars. The rest of the food was excellent and above expectation.

If I could request one thing for this Wendy’s, it would be that the management learns a better way to instruct their employees, not talk down to them, and not scold them, especially in front of customers.
