You can feel the pride and passion behind this place, especially with the new management as the son carries on his dad’s restaurant. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Most of the Latin American restaurants that my girlfriend and I have gone to have all been mostly the same as far as flavor and experience goes, however our experience at Mayan House was something we told everyone that would listen about the days following our trip there. The flavor of the food was delectable. The portions were very generous and the pricing was perfect considering how much quality food you are served. The cheese dip with seasoned beef and pico was the absolute best cheese dip I have ever eaten at a restaurant hands down, and tasted just as yummy being heated up. The service was great and it made for a very pleasant date night. We ordered a Mexican coffee from the drink menu and it was out of this world, if you’re hesitating on it, get it ! We cannot wait to return and try other items, thank you Mayan House for a A+ experience.

I am very picky about the Mexican food in TN. Its typically bland, and mediocre. NOT HERE THOUGH. The food was great. The service was fantastic. I dont remember our server’s name, but she was amazing. Probably would’ve been a 4 star on food, but the wonderful server pushed it over the top. We will be back.
