Cozy atmosphere with good food. The Karage was great, and so was our server, Jack. He was very knowledgeable and welcoming.

It’s nice they give to charity too through some of their menu items. Would recommend if you’re in the area.

The food was delicious. The atmosphere was laid back. We really enjoyed our evening there. We never felt rush and our server was attentive without feeling “pushy”.
If you’re looking for a chill place for dinner or just a place to have a few drinks, give this place a try.
The fact that they donate a portion of their proceeds to charity each month let’s you feel good while feeling good.

I was in town for a work conference and wanted some ramen. This was located a short scooter ride from our hotel and is such a cute little place with a great mission supporting various charities. But THE FOOD was SO GOOD. The fried shitake mushrooms with the spicy mayo, the fried pork, the roasted edamame and the tonkatsu ramen were all delicious! Everything was seasoned super well and even the mushrooms in the ramen were marinated. Our server Juan was great! Even though they were out of certain menu items, he made alternative suggestions and was so kind. I may never make it back to San Antonio, but I’ll dream about the food at this place. 5 stars, no notes. Eat here!!!

We ordered the “Pickle Plate” and it was a let down. It was advertised as a variety of pickled items that ended up being pickled radish, some presumeably kimchi ? and two soft boiled eggs.

We didn’t receive the complimentary first-timer edamame, even though we ordered it and the tables around us received it (it was comped on our bill at least thanks so much !)

The ramen? Disappointing to say the least. The balance was completely off. The mushrooms were so sweet it was like biting into a dessert. Maybe Kuriya should open a bakery instead? $65 for my wife and I to feel completely lost and let down after visiting from out of town.

Not to mention disposable silverware for a sit down restaurant. It felt cheap. Server didn’t care that we were visibly upset as well. Overall? If you’re looking for good ramen in San Antonio, this isn’t it.

My husband and I met here for lunch during the week. It was our first time here and Candid definitely made us feel welcome. They offer a free edamame to their new customers, which was roasted and seasoned and really tasty – my husband normally doesn’t care for edamame and he thought it was really good! I ordered a tonkotsu ramen and my husband ordered katsudon, both very good! The ramen was on par with other good ramen places in town and the katsudon was topped with caramelized onion and egg which put it over the top.
The service was received from Candid was very friendly and hospitable. She told us about the mission of Kuriya and how they donate a portion of their proceeds to different charities each month. She was the only server while we were there and was equally attentive and friendly to each table there.
Everything was great – just be aware that on-site parking is extremely limited. I didn’t see any on-site parking aside from a couple of handicapped spaces but there was a gravel lot diagonally across the street that we parked at.

Love the atmosphere and the food was delicious, I usually hate mushrooms and ginger but I loved the mushrooms and ginger lemon soda they served here! And Eric with a C, last name G was an amazing waiter who had us laughing the whole time, and recommended the best items that we ended up loving.

Had the best tasting Chicken Bone Shoyu and Tonkotsu ramen today. The pork and chicken broths were exceptionally tasty and seasoned…reminded me of the ramen in the Hawaiian Islands, however, their bowls are filIed to the top. I was surprised of their Saturday happy hour, noon-3 pm. The tempura fried ice cream was a truly generous treat…3 large scoops. We most definitely will return … our experience at Kuriya @ Cherrity Bar was a 10.

The food is STUNNING and full of flavor. The drink options, the Ramen, even the edamame were next-level, and for God’s sake the MACKEREL is to absolutely die for. Our server Gwen was ultra-knowledgeable about every item on the menu, on top of being engaging and friendly. We felt right at home immediately. Thanks for the great food and service!
