In Milwaukee and was looking for a burger place. Found the Patty Shack in the BayView neighborhood. Located in a modern unassuming storefront this restaurant makes my list. The burgers are hand formed and are rather delicious. No frozen grey patties here. The fries were good.
Service was excellent and quite fast. The dining area itself was clean. There is off street parking. I would definitely go back.

Their food truck is at the Citgo on Capitol and Lilly Road. Fantastic burger and fries. The fries are made fresh, crunchy on the outside with that nice fluffy center. Decent size serving comes as an ordered side. The burger has all the great characteristics of a smash burger: crispy little lace-like edges, gooey cheese, a nicely cooked but not over done center all on a fluffy bun. I got mine with bacon, lettuce, tomato and grilled onion. The bacon was crisp and salty. The veggies were fresh andclearly haven’t been sitting in a cooler bin for days or hours. The truck looks about as basic as it gets, but the American cheeseburger and fries it serves are all about getting the basic things perfect. I highly recommend and will be comong back soon

I wish they had a location in the Oak Creek/South Milwaukee area. Fries were still good after a 20 minute car ride. We will definitely be back.

My brother and I came in after the Mama Tried motorcycle show and the both of us were in agreement…these are the best burgers in the city! The fry suace is an extra bonus. Highly recommended!
