My first visit to Izkina was for Saturday Brunch w/my Girlfriends. Looking at the reviews I can agree w/what other patrons have had to say. When I arrived @ 2:00 pm, I wasn’t expecting to be patted down & have my purse checked by a security guard. But I guess this was protocol since the place did appear to be a club, Complete w/a D.J. The hostess & waitress were nice & the atmosphere was a nice vibe. However, the wait for drinks (even water), food & pretty much anything needed from a server was too long! We waited 30 mins. Alone for water. I asked the server for a glass of ice for my drink & he never came back.Our food was an additional hour plus. It wasn’t all brought out at the same time & was lukewarm. My friend asked for the Manager, who did apologiize for the long wait. He ended up taking $3 off of each check, along w/a shot of tequila. Overall the vibe was nice. There just needs to be more focus & improvement on shortening the time of getting drinks & food to the patrons. Especially since there’s an automatic 20% gratuity added to every check.

We came here as a group of 13 as part of a bachelorette party weekend. We had a reservation so no wait to be seated. Our hostesses was great, the food was delicious, we had the catfish and grits, salmon and grits, oxtail tacos (chefs kiss) and the dj was amazing. My only complaint is that our bride to be has a shellfish allergy. This came into play when she tried to order the salmon deviled eggs. The salmon is fried in the same grease as the shrimp. This is definitely important to know. Overall we had a great time..

The vibe in the place is very nice but whats better is the food. It’s amazing. I don’t know if the sides or the main courses are better. The greens are the star in my book. The drinks are very strong and will get you right without tasting 100% like alcohol. My only complaint were the steak bites. While they are good and the mash potatoes are amazing, I feel you don’t get anywhere near enough steak for the price. Either offer more steak or lower thr price significantly.

I went to celebrate my birthday! My SO made a reservation for 8:30. We arrived around 8:15 and were immediately seated. Shawnee was our waitress; She was very friendly and attentive. She gave an update on when our food was expected to arrive and refilled waters. The food arrived hot and accurate. The food was delicious and worth the money spent! The environment was what you would expect in a lounge- We could hold a conversation without yelling. It was a very chill vibe. Shawnee went above and beyond to provide satisfactory service- with a smile.

Simply over-rated and over-priced. The food was too SALTY and not hot. The automatic 20% gratuity and the 3% service fee is RIDICULOUS. Then, to add injury to insult, the check has suggested tip at the bottom. The searching of my purse by security at the door was definitely different. The music was so loud that we could hear our conversation. Plastic cutlery and glasses at the prices they are charging is CRIMINAL.

Food is three stars. Shrimp, green beads, sweet potatoes were good. Everything else was kind of average. Bread pudding not good. Drinks are made good. Two for $60 isn’t a bad deal given the quality of the food.

Had reservations for a saturday night. Place wasn’t packed but food took FOREVER to come out (over 45 minutes). No actual silverware, they gave us to-go plasticware to eat with. The music was too loud and it was uncomfortably cold. I expect better from a place charging automatic 20% gratuity. Not worth the price at all.

First time going here and the food was delicious. I was rushing to eat and didn’t get a chance to get a picture of any of the food. The lamb chops were a little tough, saucy, but not flavorful. The drinks were good and strong. Overall we had a good time.

Went this Saturday for a birthday party and food was good. Overpriced but good and I’m a believer in their price is their price… so no complaints there! But I will say our server was rude as hell! I got there late and because I did I already knew what I wanted to order etc. they where not busy to the eye so granted it may have been some things going behind the scenes I don’t know about. I’m very transparent but when my server told me” I should have gotten there with my party so I wouldn’t be waiting in food” I felt was uncalled for and not needed. I ordered soon as I got there and their food wasn’t even being served yet. I waited about an hr for 4 steak bites, some mashed potatoes, greens and mac and cheese. The chick was just rude for no reason!

The place is a vibe. The service was great (Kim) was wonderful. We were sat at a large booth two of them. The music had us on one. I like it because you have to be 21 and up. My food was not hot when it came out. I had Oxtails, green and turkey, and mashed. The mashed potatoes was the only thing hot. Dispite that it was overall good. The catfish was the best thing yet. I believe the price is just like any other restaurants. We had to pay $11.55 for parking. You do feel secure in the place. I think I will be back with some of my girls. I would recommend. To the own I would say tell the cook easy up on the salt, send the food out hot, invest in silver ware, for all that you spend you should have that instead of plastic,
