Our table did both hot pot and the BBQ. The food was very good considering we made it ourselves. The meats for the grill and the seafood were very fresh. I especially liked the variety of sauces available to create at the salad/appetizer bar. As well the salad /app bar had varieties of snack foods, fruit and vegetables.
Our waiter Jerome was attentive and other staff always came by to remove extra plates or trash when needed. The manager David was also very nice and made sure customer’s were good.
I would recommend to anyone that wants to explore table top cooking while spending time with family or friends. Our family will definitely be back.
As for the Korean BBQ, my family and I had a great time. The portions were generous, and the variety of meats and vegetables was excellent. The bulgogi was delicious. One of the highlights was the sauce bar where they have a wide selection of sauces you can mix yourself, plus a few house-made options that were delicious.
They also offer some simple hot food items you can grab yourself, like fries, chicken nuggets, and even crawfish! It’s a nice touch that adds to the overall experience.
I’ll make sure to take more pictures next time, but overall, KPot is a great spot for anyone looking for a fun and flavorful Korean BBQ experience. Highly recommend!
Edit:
Terrible service has reached new levels. Our first server was visibly annoyed by our large vegetables order as if she had to grow and reap the vegetables from her personal garden. Not only that, our server changed twice. The first woman was the one that was visibly annoyed and took our BBQ + Hotpot order. When I went to check on our order of hotpot and bbq after not getting anything for 20 minutes (in previous experience they had the hot pots out within 5 minutes). The woman said “let me check with your server” when she was the one who took the order! We then had a taller man become our server. To top it all off, they gave us a grossly overcharged receipt with a difference of +~$119. We were a party of 7 (1 child), they charged us as 7 adults + 8 person 18% gratuity (there was no 8th person…) After all that, of course we weren’t going to tip. The servers need to be retrained, inventory needs to be fixed, and service needs to improve a lot. I have blacked out our supposed servers name (name on receipt was not the name on their name tag). Receipts are attached.

Additionally, the seafood was not cleaned well. There was noticeable residue on our mussels, which was concerning. I know I wanted seafood, but that doesn’t mean I wanted to eat the ocean. It needs to be thoroughly cleaned before serving. The kitchen staff should take more care in preparing the seafood.
In the beginning, seems great all fine. But once your food is delivered, forget being checked on more than once. We ended up putting a small order in for 2 items and a bowl of rice towards the end of our meal as we had finished our first bowls of rice. My partner also was offered a refill on his drink which he confirmed he wanted. Not only did it take over 15 mins to get the rice and drink (to the point where we were no longer with much appetite by the time the meat got to us and our short rib was no longer warm), but we had to follow up twice and when we did follow up, the server realized that she had brought my partner’s drink refill but forgot where she put it down and left us to find it midway through our conversation. The reason this was frustrating is because not only did we have any iced waters but also wanted to follow up on our rice but was not given the opportunity because when she did come back with the drink, she dropped it off so quickly and left.
Lastly, when we did pay for our bill, she said were not offered the included ice cream. Like I said I’ve been here before and know that there’s ice cream at the end. I also know because the table to our left was offered ice cream at the end of our meal.
Even though this location is more convenient and closer to get to, we would rather make the longer drive into the city to go to the S Philly location as we have never had this kind of negative experience at their location even if they are always 100% more busy than the KOP location. It would do this location well to learn from their S Philly colleagues.
The hostess in the front tried to sit us next to the bathroom, and I just refused. Then another Chinese server came out and was nice enough to give us a better seat.
The server for our table is very friendly and efficient. However, when I tried to order a second plate of “finger rib”, I was told they ran out of that meat, which is super disappointing.
Their snack bar is pretty small and there are no tags explaining what the items are. I tried some different stuff and wasn’t sure what they were except for chicken nuggets that are easily recognizable.
I had a sneak peak of the back kitchen–for some reason, the floor looks super wet. Today is their first day, but I’m already a bit concerned how they will be able to maintain the hygiene in the long run. Besides, the background music is way too loud and the AC isn’t cold enough. Ventilation isn’t the best either–I came back home smelling BBQ…
