Came in to place order because I couldn’t find the menu online. I attached it as pictures for people. The place is small, maybe 10 tables tops and it’s cramped. While I ordered at the counter, I was forced to hover over this gentleman eating at his table. It made me very uncomfortable. The hostess did say we could sit at a table while we waited but I felt bad taking a table since they were pretty busy. Staff was super nice, even though she did miss-ring up my order and had to charge more later. They don’t take Amex cards, only visa and Mastercard. Now the food, my kids and myself got the sweet and sour chicken, with fried rice and a spring roll. I really wanted to like it, but it wasn’t good. No flavor, no salt, bland and I had some questionable pieces of chicken. Unfortunately I won’t be back, as I have other places I like better, but the place seems very beloved as there were many patrons inside.

Food was okay, but overall underwhelming. The fried rice was very bland and lacked flavor. The sweet and sour chicken didn’t stand out, and the spring rolls were mushy on the inside and fairly flavorless. I was hoping for more based on expectations.

I heard good things about this restaurant for years, and got chance to visit it today. They enlarged the menu items. They serve a combination of typical Chinese food and very authentic Chinese. They also have take out service. Quite a busy place when I was there. I had authentic style Fish Fillets in Hot Chili Oil and Chicken Stew with Belt Noodles with customized spicy level. They were soooo tasty! Tummy is happy

I don’t get it who named this a top 50 Chinese restaurant. Not The best of anything, a three star rating just as most reviews around the web. The Shanghai Wonton Soup had Zero Flavor in the broth with mushy tasteless wonton. The Beef and Broccoli was very good , rice that came with it Bland zero flavor. A order of Wontons again zero flavor, had to ask for Chili Pepper Sauce to add twang. Best was Cream Cheese Crab Wontons, weird Chinese lady. Just not for us No Best China was a one and done. #bestchinarestaurant #cantonmi #shanghaiwontonsoup #beefbroccoli #wontons #crabcheesewontons #chilisauce #downriverfriendseat

I came in for the first time to get some china best, as we came in to pick it up they mixed up one thing on the order. Now you may say why is this getting a five star, but the answer is they generously took care of us, gave us extra food and were EXTREMELY kind and respectful. The pricing is 100% worth it and I will be back thank you to the entire staff! Everything was amazing! Wait time was very short and pleasant. I will be coming back for sure!!!!

Prior to the pandemic we used to come here with Asian friends a few times, and always enjoyed the authentic menu.
However, my latest experience was very disappointing. Yes, they offered us the authentic menu but since it didn’t have lunch options we decided to stick to the American Chinese menu. To make it short: would not recommend. Especially if you’re vegan. And even the vegetarian options are somewhat limited.
Service was fast and efficient but could have been friendlier. Also, why do you remove the chopsticks from the table before seating non-Asian customers? That felt super patronizing. Believe it or not, quite a few of us actually know how to use chopsticks. Overall verdict: I had this place in better memory. Probably won’t return any time soon.

We just ordered this off of uber eats based on cost and location and, boy, do I wish I paid more to not have anything from this place.
Let me preface this by saying that I love almond boneless chicken. It’s one of my favorite Detroit dishes. What this place offers is not ABC metro detroiters love. I would equate this to mall food court Chinese food but that may be an insult to mall food court Chinese food.
And the cost… for how much it costs here, my husband and I should have had 3 days worth of meals as we do with other Chinese restaurants. That was not the case. For the cost alone, I would never order from here again.

Best China is still the best Chinese food you’ll likely ever have in Michigan (or elsewhere, for that matter). Service is always phenomenal, and I deeply appreciate that the staff gives outstanding suggestions of new dishes for us to try. Tonight we had my favorite–green beans and potatoes. It’s simple, yet so incredibly delicious. Salty with a hint of sweetness, and each potato is perfectly cooked and evenly coated in the deliciousness. I refer to this dish as Chinese crack because, for me, it’s addictive. I crave this dish! We also ordered shredded pork with celery and dry tofu, which is served in a light broth-flavored sauce. I wasn’t sure about this until I tasted it because I’m not a tofu fan, but this didn’t taste like tofu. It’s excellent with rice because it soaks up the scrumptious sauce. My husband wanted to order beef with cumin, which is his favorite here, but that will have to wait until next time, if we don’t order something else we’ve never tried before. You just can’t go wrong! If you’re in a hurry, order carry out. Just make sure you check this place out!

The food is alright, it’s authentic that’s for sure but the flavors are a bit off. It’s still good but there’s better. The portions are not too bad. The place is clean. The service is indifferent. The ladies look grouchy, and annoyed. I’m happy there’s a place that’s around here, there aren’t that many authentic within 10 miles. I would come back again for the food.
