Food was pretty good, the staff were nice and the booths are well spaced. For me, I had the curry and I thought the flavor was good, but the size of the meat and shrimp could be a little smaller. The Singapore rice noodle is, according to my mom “the best deal in Fairfield county”. We also had the spring rolls, I forgot to get a picture but they were pretty solid and standard. Overall, 3.75/5

Its just cheap take-out marked up for casual dining. Don’t expect large portions or any extra veggies. I ordered the sesame chicken, overcooked and sauce was less impressive. $30 dollars for this and a drink.

A Hidden Gem in Fairfield County!

We had an unforgettable dining experience at LC Chen in Fairfield, CT! From start to finish, every dish was absolutely delicious.

Appetizers: We began with a crunchy Napa cabbage salad and crispy soft-shell crabs. Both were incredibly flavorful, setting the tone for an amazing meal.

Soup: The hot and sour soup was a standout! It was packed with tender mushrooms and a perfect balance of tangy and spicy flavors.

Main Dishes: The Peking duck was perfection! It felt like an authentic dish straight from Peking itself. The skin was so crisp it crackled with every bite, while the tender, juicy meat melted in our mouths. Paired with hoisin sauce, fresh cucumber, scallions, and soft bun wraps, it was a true taste and textural masterpiece. The owner, Lin Ma, graciously demonstrated how to assemble the wraps, making the experience even more enjoyable.

We also ordered the General Tsao’s chicken and Singapore shrimp curry noodles, and every plate was emptied quickly–it was that good!

LC Chen offers incredibly reasonable prices for such high-quality Chinese cuisine, making it a true treasure in Fairfield County.

Always a pleasure to be here. Been dining here for over 10 years on and off and it has always been consistent in price and value (even with inflation). Absolutely love coming here with my family and introducing to friends

Here’s the thing. I’ve been going to LC Chen’s forever! I hate having to give them a 3 star rating, because their food is definitely 5 star!!! I personally LOVE their food. However, there definitely are some issues with cleanliness. Case in point, the last time I was there for take-out, I noticed when I got home to eat that there was a streak of blood on the top of my fried rice container. Literally, blood! Now, Chef’s get cut when they work, it’s a given. But you need to pay attention to that!!! Blood can carry diseases.

Since that happened I haven’t been back, and I won’t ever go back because I personally thought that was disgusting. Which saddens me because I truly LOVE their food!!! Plus, they are lovely people. But again, however, they do have a cleanliness issue in the kitchen. The health department shut them down for a day because of mice droppings they found on the counters. I mean, come on. Cleanliness is important! I love you guys, but you HAVE to put more of a focus on cleanliness.

The food was very good but the restaurant itself could do with some TLC. The staff is very standoffishly and the interior is dated. Take out would be a great option and perhaps who they cater to.
