Hands down, the best coffee shop in town ☕️
Their egg, sausage, cheese, and bacon sandwich is on another level—eggs, savory sausage, crispy bacon, and cheese all coming together in every bite. Fresh, hot, and so satisfying.

The coffee is excellent too—smooth, rich, and the perfect match for the sandwich. Great quality, great flavor, and friendly vibes.

If you’re looking for an amazing breakfast and top-notch coffee, this place is a must. I’ll definitely be back again and again ☕️

I’ve been waiting for this place with much anticipation! It is attractive inside and the coffee is great. I did receive cool coffee from a drip coffee order once, but these things can happen anywhere, especially near end of day. No biggie. Just a couple suggestions from one customer’s perspective: 1. Find a way to get rid of the paper receipt and signature process at the drive-up window…it’s very cumbersome to be handing back and forth. 2. Consider hiding the cost of cream in the base menu price. It’s a small upcharge, and I don’t mind paying it, but as cream/half-and-half in coffee is a very common request (kind of like ketchup on a hamburger), it makes one feel “nickeled and dimed” to have to pay extra. It’s more psychology than anything – charge it, but work the cost into overall prices for a more attractive customer experience. Just my thoughts. I hope you guys are successful and around for a long time!

So happy to have a coffee shop like this in our small town! I stop for an occasional mocha and sometimes I grab my lunch here.

Such a great little coffee shop! I live up the road in Staples but make my way to Browerville somewhat frequently.

Unlike another review I saw, I thought the atmosphere was very nice! I lived in Rochester for a number of years and have been to MANY coffee shops, chains and small business owned. Cup a… staff were very nice and efficient. I ordered a Breve and the flavor was amazing! Sometimes you get a bitter flavor without a flavored syrup – but not here. I love a good Breve and this was definitely one of the best I’ve had.

Make sure you stop in on your way through!

I have gone to Cup a… three times. In my honest (and quick) opinion, it is very overrated and does not reflect the welcoming hospitality that is normally attributed to small-town cafes. The next few paragraphs are very detailed and long winded so here’s a summary:
The espresso is below average, service is average, and the atmosphere inside the coffee shop is below average. Travel 8 more miles south and go to 110 Coffee.

For my first visit, I went on opening day as I was excited to try something new and support my local businesses. I saw that the lobby was pretty full and did not want to be around so many people, so the drive-thru it was!

I ordered an americano and they asked me what type of milk I would like in it. I have been asked if I would like cream in my americano at other locations, but the milk option was new. I figured that this was their style of making an americano and decided on 2%. I should have chose whole milk at least, but as you will see later, it would not have mattered.

I got up to the window, and the exchange was very average for a coffee shop. Can’t complain about that. Got my coffee and went on my way. About 5 minutes after letting it cool, I drank it…

When you think of an americano, you think of bold, tasty espresso. This was an assault on my tastebuds for how bland it was. It tasted like watered down milk. When I got home and popped open the lid, it looked like watered down milk. There wasn’t the slightest color of brown in that cup. Very disappointing.

So, for my first visit: Service 3.5/5, Food 0/5, Atmosphere N/A

Now, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that all of that was just first day jitters (pun not intended). So, onto the second try!

I went inside this time, as there weren’t as many people as my first go-around. The inside, doesn’t feel like a coffee shop. There is a concrete floor, some tables, a fireplace with two chairs around it – which is probably the most “coffee shop-esque” quality of this shop. They had a tv playing right above the entrance, which was a little off putting.

Go up to the till, get my order in. Very polite interaction, you know, average coffee shop experience. I order a latte this time, because I didn’t see americano on the menu.

The wait was not bad, probably less than 5 minutes. I got my coffee, let it sit probably 10 minutes because, oh boy, that was a fresh latte! I was hopeful, maybe the first coffee I had was just a fluke. I took a sip, and it was okay. There was nothing really to write home about the latte. I didn’t get any flavoring so I could appreciate the espresso. There just wasn’t really anything to appreciate.
In the end, Service 3.5/5, Food 3/5, Atmosphere 2.5/5

In my heart, I really wanted to be done ordering from Cup a…
But my mind said I needed a large enough sample group to make an accurate decision on my rating… And I did learn that they could make me an americano. So, I ventured back to Cup a… for one last chance.

I went in again. I was a bit hungry this time and wanted to try some baked goods. I was going to get one of the muffins, but I am a sucker for scones, so I ordered a plate of the mini scones and ordered my americano.

The interaction with the person running the till wasn’t anything special, again. The atmosphere was pretty much the same, very average. Got my coffee pretty, but it was still hot, so I decided to nibble on the scones in the meantime. I don’t remember what flavor I got for the scones, all I remember is that the sugar coating or whatever was on there overpowered any flavoring there was. I’ve definitely had better scones and may have had worse, but I can’t remember any specifically.

Now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for…. Did Cup a… make a comeback with their skills and whip up a decent tasting americano? Short answer, no. Long answer, the coffee I got that day tasted more like a brewed cup of coffee instead of the glorious espresso it could have been.

I’m very disappointed. Service 3.5/5, Food 1.5/5, Atmosphere 2.5/5

I would skip it, cheers!

Amazing place! Amazing owners! And ignore the Jameson fool below.
Someone who doesn’t know the difference between an americano and an espresso, surely can’t be trusted.
An Americano is literally watered down espresso. So he got what he ordered and maybe next time he’s in the mood for espresso, he’ll just order that.
As a proud Italian, I can assure that my Nonna would approve of this coffee and disapprove of Mr. Jameson’s review.
