I hadn’t visited spice valley for ages, but was glad to visit on Xmas day, with my son and friends. We all enjoyed our meal and had a lovely evening. Staff were all very courteous and friendly. I can highly recommend the place for an excellent meal. The light-up menus are really cool, easy to read and very clear. Makes ordering simple.

Nice food and overall decent establishment. Completely let down by the food service time. To be fair we did get informed by waiter there was a bit of a wait but when it touched on the hour to get our order I feel that it had gone beyond what is usually acceptable. This is a common occurrence at this restaurant, will be a shame if this is the cause of any decline in customer. The menu and quality of the food is good.

Second time here and the food is just superb – one of the best curries I’ve had up and down the country.

We tried this restraunt for a take away for the first time and were told out order would be delivered in 45 minutes. After an hour or so I called the restraunt to check on our order and I got an abrupt response to say it would be there in 10 minutes. It arrived 30 minutes after that and was cold. The taste seemed good but it was not enjoyable to eat it cold. Very disappointing. We will not be using it again.

It was our anniversary so decided to go for an Indian meal in Norwich. Spice Valley is clean, friendly and welcoming. We ordered our food which came very quickly.
I had lamb samosa for starter and they were hot and moorish, then cam our main meals, my husband had a king prawn vindaloo with steamed rice, I had chicken madras with steamed rice and a keema Nan. The meals were absolutely gorgeous, my husband couldn’t finish all his meal, he had lots of king prawns. I finished my chicken madras but was unable to finish my keema Nan.
The whole meal was well worth the money, the service was 10 out of 10, staff polite and friendly.
If we go to Norwich again we will certainly go back.

We moved to Norwich in Feb this year, first time having an Indian since moving, so looked around and saw Spice Valley has been voted best in the Easy of England so thought we’d give it ago.
Upon walking in we were greeted instantly and seated, first thing we noticed was how clean the place was, with great decor, the light up menus allow a nice atmosphere with no bright lights, a very clever touch.
We ordered starters of Prawn Puree which came in a timely manner, had this dish many many times before, but this one had more flavour than any we’ve had before was delicious.
We ordered Lamb Madras for our main with Garlic rice, which I couldn’t see on the menu but they still made it for us, the lamb was very tender and the curry was awesome, we had a side of onion bahjis and these blew us away, literally no grease at all off these and tasted sooooo good
The service was first class start to finish, the most attentive, friendly staff in any Indian restaurant we’ve ever been to, by the end of our meal we were stuffed but the waiter still offered to box up what was left which we thought was a very kind gesture
Honestly this was our first time visiting this restaurant and can honestly saw I won’t bother with anywhere else, I can see why it’s voted the best in the East of England *****

Possibly one of the best tasting Indian restaurants I have ever visited. The Patia had a good heat, but was not overpowering so still possible to taste the delights of the whole meal. The staff and owner present a family atmosphere and couldn’t be more helpful. An excellent selection of Asian beers along with a zero alcohol one too. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to others. 5 stars.

I visited here a couple of years ago on their opening where they were giving away free food. I very much enjoyed it and wanted to come back to show thanks.
The service was very friendly on my visit this week and the restaurant is nicely designed. It was spotlessly clean and the service was always attentive.
Food wasn’t great. Dips with the poppadoms were generic and one tasted odd. Disappointed no pickles included there. The curry sauce was pleasant although quite greasy. Chicken itself was bland and lacking flavour. The curry was served at the appropriate temperature though and the sauce did have a depth of flavour.
Also didn’t like that the restaurant won’t give customers a copy of the bill to keep, just the total, so couldn’t be used by those on business who needed expenses.

Lamb Karahi and Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi were OK, but exceptionally oily that was disappointing. Having to decant the curry from oil for me and my son was not enjoyable. I am sure the food is good but not easy to tell on a first visit. Would probably return for a biryani and a mixed grill but will avoid curries. Staff were attentive and professional.
