Three stars for the hand made tortillas. Food was good but service was horrible. Staff walked past us numerous times, had to ask for a table upon still having to find one ourselves. We also had to ask for menus and to place our order. The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful considering we were a party of 7. Also seen the staff dismiss to next table of only 2. In desperate need of PROPER STAFF!!

This was my first time at Pepe’s. I have been meaning to get in for a while so taco Tuesday seemed to be the right time.
I ordered three Carne Asada, three Al Pastor, and three Polo Asada tacos. They were all a good size and filled with meat.
First, the Carne Asada; it was very tender but a bit bland. Then I tried my wife’s Polo and it was good. Both tacos were just missing a little something. Then I had the Pastor, the best of the three in my opinion. The pork was very tender and extremely flavorful. I would definitely return for the Pastor but not so much for the other two. All of the tacos were loaded with grilled onions and sliced radishes.
The tacos came with chips and two different salsas. The chip were ok and the salsa had good flavor but at least one of them could have used a bit more heat.
The service was great! And my tacos came out quickly. You can watch them being made right behind the counter.
The price seems to be in line with other Mexican restaurants in the immediate area.
Pepe’s may not be at the top of my return list but I will head back for some of that wonderful Pastor.

Well, when they were at there original location I loved them been going there over 20+ years. Seems since the move, not so great anymore. Haven’t had good luck last few years, I don’t get take out very often. So when I do, it’s a special occasion. But, when I find a 1+ inch chunk of hard cartilage, my stomach just turns. I know it can happen using chunks of meat , it’s the attention to detail. I don’t have luck with take out food, think the universe way of telling me cook my own foods. Lol. Anyway, think I’m done with PePe’s. The Customer service was good, just wish the food matched.

Taco Tuesday!!! Excellent deal. Tacos $1.25 each. We ordered 2 chicken, 2 steak, 2 al pastor and a side of rice and a side of beans. Comes with chips and salsa of your choice. All for $20 not including tip, so you can afford to tip GENEROUSLY.
