AK is a great representative of the Chinese-American comfort food that our area is known for. Many folks are too judgemental, insisting that anything that isn’t as good as the International District in Seattle is terrible food. And, of course, those elitist fools are 100% wrong. Far, far more folks enjoy a delicious meal like this—a meal we certainly can’t duplicate at home. Everything we had was excellent. Wonderful service, as well, and one of the more affordable options in this category. Lots of extra to bring home to keep the party going, too. Great job, AK…

The egg roll had way too much pepper, the sweet and sour pork was extremely dry, the egg drop soup was flavorless and oddly had vegetables like peas, carrots and Lima beans. When told to the server she directed me to be specific and did not do anything to try and easy the negative experience. I will never come back and honestly the lack of customers inside should have been my first clue.

Ordered takeout. Food was great & plentiful. Great value! Only thing I wished is that the gravy for the almond chicken to go would be on the side, so the chicken wouldn’t get soggy. Other than that food was flavorful & good! Beef & broccoli was amazing, with fresh vegetables & perfectly tender velveted beef. Good to find you!

This was our first time at AK Asian Restaurant. The exterior looks a bit rough, but we decided to give it a try. We had two different servers—Coco took our order. The food was decent overall. My sister and I went because we were both craving almond chicken. The almond chicken was good, but the gravy was a bit too thick for our liking. We also got white rice, fried rice, and sesame chicken, which was on the saucier side. The special chow mein was excellent.
Unfortunately, while eating, I found a hair in the fried rice. It took a while to flag down a the second server, and when we finally did, she seemed skeptical, even saying, “I can’t see it with my glasses.” After taking the bowl to the kitchen, she came back a few minutes later, apologized, and brought a new bowl of fried rice—or at least, we hoped it was actually a new one and not just the same bowl with the hair removed.
Despite the issue, we still tipped, though no special accommodation was offered.

We ate here on 12/06/25. It was listed as one of the best Asian restaurants so we decided to try it. The restaurant was empty when we arrived at 12pm. The waitress was busy trying to get everything ready and set up. My husband ordered a beef noodle dish and I ordered the pick three lunch combo. My husband’s beef tasted sour and weird like it was merinated in vinegar. Some of my chicken tasted good, but some of it also tasted sour and off. By Monday our stomachs didn’t feel good and by Tuesday I was extremely sick and throwing up. I ate more of my meal than my husband ate of his. I am definitely sure that the meat was bad and we were given food poisoning. I don’t think this restaurant has enough business to turn the food over. I won’t be eating here again after getting so sick.

We ate there for the first time today. My husband and I ordered Broccoli Beef (with a little extra heat) to share. We each also had a cup of Egg Flower soup to go with it. The food was very flavorful. The beef was tender and everything just had an overall great taste. We were also impressed with their Egg Flower soup. I have not been a fan of Egg Flower soup (never heard of it until I moved to Spokane – we always got Egg Drop soup everywhere else I have lived but here it is Egg Flower).
The food came out fresh and hot. The serving size was large – we were both very full by the time we got done with lunch. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Excellent food. Double excellent, in fact. Great drinks. Awesome staff. Fantastic atmosphere (if you like that kind of atmosphere) in the bar. Lots of character(s).
In fact, nevermind. Don’t go. I don’t want it to get too crowded.

Service was slow upon entering, ordering, and paying. Found out there was only one employee working the tables for both the restaurant and the bar side.
Expect to wait a bit. Don’t get impatient because the food was AWESOME! The egg drop soup & the lunch special tasted amazing. Crunchy chicken & delicious BBQ pork (even came with dipping sauce). Portions were decent for the price of the lunch special. I was hesitant at the portion when it came put, but it filled me up enough.
Drink was refillable and came in a small cup. Ask for water a extra cup if you get thirsty fast.
Quiet venue on the restaurant side, and parking was decent. I do see parking filling up if it’s the weekend, so plan ahead if you’re driving with company (carpool).
Definitely one of the enjoyable places to eat Asian food in the area. I do plan on going back and trying out more dishes. Take a look at attached photos of the special & the venue. Great customer service despite being understaffed.

We stopped here about 5 months ago, and have taken many others here for a great experience. I love the honey wine items and just love the avocado shrimp salad. The staff has always been so friendly. It is very clean and it has a separate bar and on Fridays they do karaoke. AND they even have a punch card!!!!! And nothin wrong about a free dinner. Come on and give them a try.
