Taco Verde is hands down one of our favorite spots for amazing halal tacos! The quality and flavor are consistently outstanding. We absolutely love their Birria Tacos — perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with rich, authentic flavor.
Their Birria Pizza Tacos are a must-try as well. Such a creative twist, loaded with flavor and cooked to perfection. Every bite is satisfying.

The first time here and loved it. The shrimp tacos are well seasoned, the steak tacos are the bomb dot com!!! They were out the tres leches cake but the guy at the front gave me a cake they just got called the strawberry short cake and it was delicious . Highly recommend this place !

Very disappointed with my experience, ordered the asada plate, steak taco dinner, a birria taco and churros. I gave 2 stars instead of one because the food had potential to be tasty but I was obviously give food that had been sitting out for a while. My asada plate was DRY as could be!! Would have tasted ok otherwise. I ordered the taco plate for my grandmother who normally loves tacos and she ate half of one and left the rest. The birria was not for me, too sweet or something, I did not like the sauce at all, worst birria I’ve ever had. And lastly the churros were like a rock, not even warm. So many better places for Mexican food. I won’t be back.

The horchata is pretty good too, they also have a lunch special from 11-3, only $11 for two tacos, rice, beans and can of pop… Highly recommend!

Incredible halal Mexican food. When in the area this IS a must try. And it’s HMS certified. We love their chicken tacos. Sooo good. Birria tacos were excellent. The star of the show was this surf and turf burrito. Amazing!!! Seeting is very limited so best bet is for take out.

I hate leaving bad reviews but this place is not THE PLACE. I got a veggie a taco and they said it’ll come with rice and beans which was not the case pace. I asked for it and got it — fine. But then, I took a bite and the guac is brown……. Don’t go here if toy want fresh food.

Ok I have just found my new taco shop today! The gentlemen who took care of me was very nice as well and even search for my keys when I thought I lost them. The food texture and taste blew me away. I have had the privilege to eat across the world this stands in my top ten for street tacos and guacamole style fair! Cheers

Visited this halal restaurant in October of 2025. Good food and good service. We dined in while watching the Bears game on our phones. The cashier was doing the same . I appreciated that they told me that the birria quesadilla was the same as the birria pizza but half the size and price. It ended up being my favorite item that I tried.

This was actually my second time back this week.. I couldn’t stop thinking about the food since I last ate it. The food, the service, the atmosphere… everything was impeccable. The Stelote burrito and the loaded waffle fries are absolutely delicious. Prices are great for the amount of food you get. You can tell the owners care about excellent customer service and providing fresh, good quality, authentic halal Mexican food. Excited to have found my new go to spot for all my taco and burrito cravings!! 10/10 recommend.
